This month Nic is hosting the One Four Challenge, so click here to see Nic’s current post and entry. Here is my Week 4 entry.
I love playing in this challenge, because I can play with photos and techniques I usually don’t use a lot. This is a fun playground for me.
This month I chose a photo that I would normally not use. To challenge myself just a little bit. I have an old wall that was built out of steel, note the rusting. I’m not sure what this was used for or if it was a building once upon a time. I just think it might be interesting to see what I can come up with for the next four weeks. This original photo has some dehazing, straightening and camera corrections already done to it.
Which week’s photo do you like best?
Week 4 Edits
I basically kept playing with layering photos like I did last week. Here are my results this week. The background photo is from the blue and white cargo ship I captured in Astoria.

You have had a lot of fun playing around with your images this week. Love the ship behind the wall.

I like the idea of combining like materials as a direction for your composite… the steel of the fence and the steel of the ship. The blue peaking through the fence gives this edit a fun feel as well. Great job! 🙂

Love the “through the keyhole” effect. It’s like an adventure in Wonderland 🙂
