Here is a photo of this morning’s sunrise. Our temp is 11 degrees. Our normal low is close to 40 degrees this time of year. This is the view out my window.

Stay warm and enjoy from inside! That’s my motto as an icestorm is moving thru our area in the Eastern part of the US.

I forget where you live, but I was in Spokane for work last week. One morning it was 2 degrees — and that’s not the wind chill factor! Yikes!!

I’m an hour south of Portland Oregon in an area called Willamette Valley. It is just a bit warmers than most of Oregon. We grow hops and grapes.

Portland is definitely on my Bucket List. I flew from Spokane to Portland and then sprinted to catch a plane to Detroit. Hardly a visit to Portland. But someday . . .

Portland is definitely warmer than Detroit. Portland’s average snow fall is 3″ a year. Here where I live we usually get only a dusting or flakes. In Portland and Seattle if you ever get a chance take a Duck tour. They are great. I’ve been on both.

Great idea! We took a duck tour in Boston and loved it. But I’ll keep that in mind in Portland. Still have my duck noisemaker!!!

Wow, some amazing colors! We’ve had some cold weather in San Diego too, with almost freezing temperatures overnight. California citrus growers are worried about their crops. 😦

I used to live in Oxnard (Ventura/Santa Barbara area) and I know how the farmers can be with a cold spell. Stay warm.
