I have a couple of questions for all photographers. Some of it is my own curiosity and at the end of this blog you will find out what I have planned.
This first poll is all about where you are with your photography regarding it being a business or if you even want to have a business. I have made some money off my photography, but being the introvert I am I really don’t believe I’ll ever sell my photos and make a living out of it.
This second poll is about the type of camera you use. Your basic camera. I know from time to time I use my iPod Touch as a camera. But that is not my main camera. You all know my basic camera is my mirrorless Nikon SLR. I have three lenses and will probably add my fourth lens in the next month or so.

I’ve loved your tip posts. I would enjoy more. I’ve read all the technical mumbo jumbo and prefer your method of explanation.

I made my living as a pro photographer for ten years — I don’t miss it and I never want to go back to it. Doing my own thing is more more pleasurable as a hobby, and I use whatever is available for taking photos.

I enjoy your tips and tricks posts Cee and think it a weekly series would be a great addition to your blog. I mainly use my iPhone because it’s what I have but one day I hope to get a good camera along the lines of your mirrorless Nikon.

Sounds good to me Cee…
I have a Fujifilm Finepix S1800, but the only instruction manual is in Turkish, and whilst I can converse locally, I have just tend to use the camera on auto. So any hints and tips (in simple terms for us numpties) would be welcomed.

Some years ago, I did have my own company, where I edited newspapers and magazines. In that time, I was my own photographer. I have only used Digital Cameras for these.
Thanks for sharing.

I love digital photography, but I cannot afford one of the really good cameras at this time, so I just enjoy taking photos with my iPhone 4s. I just bought some lenses for it which I am having fun experimenting with. Maybe…..someday….I will get a really good camera…until then just enjoying what I do have.

This will be a great idea… I learn by seeing, reading, and then trying it out myself. The manuals that come with cameras are not all that great at explaining… I find them confusing…

I also use a mirrorless , Nex6 – it had to be relatively cheap, very small, light sensitive and offers manual control and a very good UI.
I am in media and ad business since 1998 and quitted last year. Now I do a job that makes my heart laugh every day – who needs money when there are friends?! And so, I do never ever want to go pro in a ‘creative’ profession again – else everything you produce would not be free art anymore….

I don’t make a living as a photographer or have any high hopes to do so but it would be nice to re-coop some of the cost and that is what I try to do with my merchandising. Let me know if you need anything 😉

I do sell some of my prints that I make into cards but I am an amateur with a huge passion. I have three cameras and one is an infra red. I love the creativity of post processing as well.
