Share Your World – 2014 Week 20

Water-faucet-jpgIf you could go back and visit any time period, what time would you travel to and why?

If you could have three wishes granted for you alone, what would they be?  This is a time for you to dream and have fun.

Wanting something to quench your thirst, what would you drink?

If you watch TV what are your favorite three television shows?

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I sincerely hope you enjoy my questions for this week and find the questions interesting enough to play along.   If you ever want me to ask anything specific, please feel free to contact me.  You don’t think a lot about these questions, unless of course it is FUN for you.  Simply dream and just let loose, or you let your alter ego answer if you want.   Have a fabulous week everyone!!

Even though I oftentimes will add photos to my answers, it is not a requirement to participate in Share your World.

If you adore challenges as much as I do, please check out WordPress’s Blog Event Listing for other challenges.

I will be post four different questions each week for you to answer.  There are two ways which you can participate.

  1. Create a  Share Your World  post.  Then post the link to your blog in my comment box or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Share Your World” tag.
  3. Remember to Follow My Blog to get your weekly reminders.

I usually will respond to your entry on your blog, rather than on my page.

Here are my answers.

If you could go back and visit any time period, what time would you travel to and why?
This is another question that I have had on my list for a long time because it interests me, but I have no clue how to answer it.  Since I really don’t know a lot about history, I would choose the mid 1800s.  I would be park of the influx of people moving west in the US.  I would have loved to discover the Pacific Northwest and scene it in its without people.  It would have been fun to get to know the native indians and practices too.

If you could have three wishes granted for you alone, what would they be?

  • To be mobile have a fluid moving body again and not have the extra weight.
  • Chris win her $22 million lottery so she could quit work and we could have a home in Oregon and Alaska.  And still have plenty of money to travel and give away money.
  • Keep learning qigong.  It’s a way of life and you grow with it, so I don’t think I would want all the knowledge instantly.  The fun of it is the journey.

Wanting something to quench your thirst, what would you drink?  Since I learned that drinking cold water or eating anything cold is not healthy.  I would stick with my hot water and perhaps add a little ginger to it.

If you watch TV what are your favorite three television shows?  NCIS, Castle and Grey’s Anatomy.  Although I think Grey’s is getting close to the end of their life span I still love watching it.

    1. I just looked him up, he was born in February 1930. You look as good and that is without hollywood make up. I know you probably don’t feel it right now, but you will soon again.

  1. Fun questions! I’m sure my first wish will be similar to yours. I feel Grey’s Anatomy is nearing the end of its life span too. I vowed to quit watching it and then the big reveal about who the new doctor is happened – oh my!

  2. This is an awesome challenge, and I like your answers.

Though I got distracted wondering why you thought cold drinks/food are unhealthy.
So, I got curious and looked to see if I could find anything about it, and there doesn’t seem to be any studies or scientific literature suggesting this to be the case. I’m not sure where you heard it, but think, it might well be an urban legend.

Which is good news if you actually want to drink something cold and are just worried about health. 🙂
Of course if you just generally prefer your hot drinks, then carry on, I’m certainly not trying to stop you. 😀
(I love me some warm tea, and lemon and ginger water is delicious! ❤ )

    1. Thanks for commenting. I’m not surprised you didn’t find anything. It’s from Traditional Chinese Medicine. Here is the logic behind it. Chinese medicine is all about creating qi (energy) and the more your energy is flowing properly the healthier and longer you live. The stomach needs to be warm to use less energy digesting food. So if you drink or ice and cold things the first thing your stomach has to do is spend energy warming up your stomach and the food. Your stomach actually works twice as hard and that takes lots of extra energy if it has to warm itself first.

      1. Oh, I see. Yes it does makes sense that I didn’t find anything on it in that case. XD hehe
Interesting, I have a book on Chinese philosophies (which I’ve been putting off reading of course, procrastinator that I am) I’ll have to check and see what it says about qi (chi?) since now I’m curious what else goes along with that.
Though I think I’ll stick to making my stomach work a little harder, because as much as I love my warm tea, I also really enjoy my cool drinks. ^_^
Thanks for letting me know! 😀

  3. NCIS is my favorite TV show! I think Gibbs is my favorite character on there. Will be posting my answers later. 🙂

I adore comments! Thanks for stopping by to visit.
