Chris and I went to Adelman’s Peony Gardens on Sunday, here is one of the photos I took. ENJOY! We also bought four pink and yellow peonies for our yard. You won’t get to see them until next year though.

Ah, yes, I got sidetracked by the ‘beauty in decay’ peony…..I’ll go find the others soon!!

I really liked your beauty in decay. I got some peonies with only the “pods” (don’t know what the center is called in the wood variety) peonies. I’m can’t wait to get those up either.

I have peonies in my garden but this year they are really slow at blooming. I go out and check with Bob every morning, (well he checks the strawberries).

I can’t imagine how beautiful your garden. Did you take this home?

The ones we took home are various shades of pink with yellow centers. All very different from each other.

The next time I visit Oregon, I must go to these peony gardens. But then, it would have to be the right time of year. How long do they last?

Basically end of April through early June. They are a great bush the rest of the summer though.

Just found the answer: They are open May 1 to June 15 to see the peonies.

Beautiful! You probably know that Chinese love peonies. They represent prosperous.
I should check if we (MN) have many gardens here. I feel like one or two after seeing your flowers.

I didn’t know that….so thanks a lot.

Your photos of flowers are art. Beautiful!
(I wish I knew the names of flowers. I wanted to name the flower in the photo I took last week of the foraging bee, but I am limited to but a handful of floral names. Even a Google search didn’t help.)

I know searches don’t help unless you are semi-close to the name to begin with…..frustrating at times. Thanks for commenting.
