This photo was published in a magazine in Holland. It is an American Beauty Dahlia and one of my favorites.

This current series is all about our glorious mother earth and nature.  This week is the long awaited  Floral Macros.  This topic was suggested by Serendipty.  I’m also writing a two part series on my Tips and Tricks specifically for floral macros, see my Part Two and Part One posts.

Part One and Part Two.

The Next Series – Geometry

My Entry for the Week

Since I’m doing new flower every day, I thought I would highlight some of my favorite floral macros I’ve taken over the years.  It’s getting close to the water gardens opening, so I did pick a couple of lotus and waterlilies.  Guess I’m getting anxious for them.  ENJOY!

  1. Well, Cee, I was astonished to see your photos of a lotus and realize that I had never seen a picture of a lotus in my life! Thanks for all your beautiful shots.

  2. Did you hear me screaming with joy? Thank you for including my blog in your “Featured Bloggers”. I am thrilled!!! I am going to tell all my friends! Thanks!

  3. Insanely beautiful Cee. The bearded Iris is jaw dropping. I learn so much about images and composition from checking out your work. I can almost smell the scent of that rose with the detailed water droplets on it. Masterful.
