Share Your World – 2014 Week 35

Have your blogging goals changed?

If you were to perform in the circus, what would you do?

If you could go back and talk to yourself at age 18 what advice would you give yourself?  Or if you are younger than 25 what words of wisdom would you like to tell yourself at age 45?

What is your favorite comfort snack food?

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I sincerely hope you enjoy my questions for this week and find the questions interesting enough to play along.   If you ever want me to ask anything specific, please feel free to contact me.  You don’t think a lot about these questions, unless of course it is FUN for you.  Simply dream and just let loose, or you let your alter ego answer if you want.   Have a fabulous week everyone!!

Even though I oftentimes will add photos to my answers, it is not a requirement to participate in Share your World.

If you adore challenges as much as I do, please check out WordPress’s Blog Event Listing for other challenges.

I will be post four different questions each week for you to answer.  There are two ways which you can participate.

  1. Create a  Share Your World  post.  Then post the link to your blog in my comment box or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Share Your World” tag.
  3. Remember to Follow My Blog to get your weekly reminders.

I usually will respond to your entry on your blog, rather than on my page.

Here are my answers.

Have your blogging goals changed?  Yes and no.  The main reason I blog is because I see things in photos and wanted to share my world.  Chris writes and sees in words, I do in pictures.  My blog hopefully has become a place where people can have fun and maybe learn a thing or two about composition and telling a story with their photography.  I know I just want to have fun with my blog and 98% of the time it is.

If you were to perform in the circus, what would you do?  I think I would want to be a trapeze athlete.  I can’t imagine the core strength needed for this job.  Plus I would be way up high and away from all the commotion of the circus.  I really don’t like crowds.

If you could go back and talk to yourself at age 18 what advice would you give yourself?  Or if you are younger than 25 what words of wisdom would you like to tell yourself at age 45?  I would tell myself, time heals.  Don’t take life so seriously. Relax and have a lot of fun.  It only gets better and better.  Oh yeah, remember your camera keep it with you and take a lot more photos.  Maybe you will find the joy and thrill of photography and all things beautiful quicker.

What is your favorite comfort snack food?  My dark chocolate with a latte on the side.  Can’t think of anything better.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?  If you have been following my blog, you know we got our concrete pad poured last week.  It was another quiet and hot week.  Which was good.  Although yesterday, Chris and I went out for a steak dinner at Outback saw this real cool map of the world upside down. See below.  The world upside is really interesting because there is so much water in the Southern Hemsiphere.  I have a question for anyone in the southern hemisphere, do you use maps like this with South on top?  Or do your maps have North on top?

Then we drove around looking for a photo shoot and found one at an equestrian ranch in Wilsonville and a jet being refreshed at Aurora Airport.  Photos will be throughout the next couple of weeks.

Qi (energy) hugs,

Cee

  1. I think your answers this week are very much like what I will write. I always wanted to fly on the trapeze too. It’s the flying part, you know? To fly through the air … whee! As for what I’d tell myself? Stop worrying. What will be will be. All that worry is just ruining the moment. Live and enjoy what is … the rest will work itself out.

    Hugs, and happy Labor Day!

  2. I really like the ‘reversed’ map of the world. I regret not having bought one when I visited Australia many years ago. I suppose I could still find one on the internet, now that I think of it.

Cee – bloggers like you are really changing the way I see the world now. Your pictures have taught me to really notice details I would otherwise miss – or the interesting juxtaposition of unusual things.

  3. I changed from ranting to general comment, really awful rhyme, and (occasionally) promoting my books.
I’d like to develop a superdog act with dogs which love performing.
    I’d assure my 18-year-old self that age 35 isn’t over-the-hill doomsville.
    Chocolate! Lots of it!
I got through it, and expect to get through this one! No, we still keep the map the same way. Never struck me how much water we have – in fact the map looks more natural the way you have it now, with all that weight sinking to the bottom.

  4. I have seen those maps around the traps, but they are still a novelty, mainly for tourists’ amusement. However, there is a strong move away from Mercator projection, as it distorts the polar regions so much; particularly the northern hemisphere with Greenland appearing to be a very large island. Fact is, Greenland is considerably smaller the Australia and countries like China and India, because they are part of Asia, look swamped by Russia. Most Aussies like the well deserved down-under status. We are not the land up-over!

  6. I love your upside down map of the world. Australia looks very special being at the top and in the centre of the world. I have not seen one of these maps here, Down Under but if I ever found one I think I would buy it or at least take photo. The Tasmanian’s would really love being on top of the rest of Australia also. http://www.inspiringmax.com/
