Share Your World – 2014 Week 40

925398_15499364You’re given $500,000 dollars tax free (any currency), what do you spend it on?

What’s the finest education?

What kind of art is your favorite? Why?

Is there something that you memorized long ago and still remember?

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I sincerely hope you enjoy my questions for this week and find the questions interesting enough to play along.   If you ever want me to ask anything specific, please feel free to contact me.  You don’t think a lot about these questions, unless of course it is FUN for you.  Simply dream and just let loose, or you let your alter ego answer if you want.   Have a fabulous week everyone!!

Even though I oftentimes will add photos to my answers, it is not a requirement to participate in Share your World.

If you adore challenges as much as I do, please check out WordPress’s Blog Event Listing for other challenges.

I will be post four different questions each week for you to answer.  There are two ways which you can participate.

  1. Create a  Share Your World  post.  Then post the link to your blog in my comment box or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Share Your World” tag.
  3. Remember to Follow My Blog to get your weekly reminders.

I usually will respond to your entry on your blog, rather than on my page.

Here are my answers.

You’re given $500,000 dollars tax free (any currency), what do you spend it on?  I would pay off our house, get a few things done around the house, buy a new vehicle.  Make sure our qigong studies are paid for.  Maybe look for a house in Alaska for a summer home.

What’s the finest education?  Life.  Education is good maybe to get going in your career, but life’s experiences and adventures teach more than school ever could.  Find your passion and learn about your passion and play with it.  Everything else will become clear and knowledge will just flow into you.

What kind of art is your favorite? Why?  I know this may sound real corny, but photography.  Ever since I got my first computer and downloaded the first version of Printshop many many years ago, I fell in love with clip art and photos.  I’ve been collecting it ever since.  I’ve always admired photography.  I now just collect my own photography (on my computer).  I’ve got tons of it and for every occasion.

Is there something that you memorized long ago and still remember?    I don’t know if can recite anything verbatim anymore.  But do the beginnings of these sound familiar.  I had to learn them in school.  I was horrible at memorization.

“Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. …”

And one from Charles Dickenson.

“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way- in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only.”

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

This past week was kind of quiet.  I didn’t real feel that well.  So I rested up and am feeling much better.  So the week ended on a real good note.

Today Chris and I are off to Lincoln City for the day.  It will be nice to sit on the sand and just enjoy the warm weather at the beach.  We also are planning a couple good meals out too.

Qi (energy) hugs,

Cee

  2. This post triggered a memory from primary school many, many years (decades!) ago. I can’t remember the year but it was the first time we were required to memorize a poem. I still remember all the words to the poem – Someone – and the author Walter de la Mare …. because his name sounded so cool.
I can never remember my car’s license plate, but I remember a poem from my childhood … go figure.

… and $500,000 tax free right now would be REALLY nice 🙂

    1. The beach today was magical. We saw bubble blowers and whales and the coast guard. I was even able to photo the coast guard on maneuvers in the bay. Photo no doubt will be coming.

  3. It’s so interesting to hear that you’ve loved photography for so long. Reading your blog, I’m always reminded of my mother — for my entire life, she has deeply loved photography. She has several broken computers that she can’t bear to get rid of, because there are old pictures stuck on them. I should pass a link to your blog on to her; I bet she’d enjoy participating in photo challenges.
