One Four Challenge – Jan Week 3

Here is my entry for Robyn’s One Four Challenge for January Week 3.

Here is my Week 3 version.

In this one I cropped it so your attention would be on the road.  I also took out the wires and poles.  Hopefully you will want to see what is further down the road.

Here is the original photo.  I liked how this tree over hung on the road.

Here is my Week 2 version.

011115week 2

In this one, I took out the cropped it so there was more of the blue in the sky showing.  I deleted the signs along the side of the road.  Darkened the road to make it standout. Then I added a lighter green to the grass and tree and brightened it up a bit.

Here is Week 1 version.

I cropped this a little closer than the original photo.  In this version I keep the exposure a little darker to give more of a sense of darker cloudy skies.  Added a little yellow to green.

Until next week.

Qi (energy) hugs,

Cee

  1. Bringing the attention to the road definitely gave me the ‘Oh!’ look at the tree even more, Sure wish I had this tree on my front yard! so cool 🙂

  2. Nice edition Cee!
I really like this composition and yes I want to know what is over the crest.
Lightening the road gives a point of interest and gee you did great getting rid of the wires. Glad youre having fun Cee – it shows!! 😃😃

  3. I like this, nice edit. This closer version feels real to me, as in real time. The angle makes me feel like I’m on the road, coming up it. I like how the trees beyond the “tunnel” made by the tree are brighter.

    Good job. 🙂

  4. I like the crop, it really changes the feel of the picture being open and free, “on the open road”, now I feel slightly more claustrophobic with everything much tighter.
    Great work Cee.

  5. Cee great job with the editing and removing the extra bits, and the processing makes it look like a faded family photograph. I would have like to have seen a little space between the edge of the tree and the edge of the image on that LH side tho.

Award Free Blog

I appreciate you thinking of me for an award. I have had a lot of fun with awards in the past. I think awards are a fantastic tool to help out people who are just starting their blogging adventure. I've been here awhile now.

My best award is that you somehow still come to visit me when ever you get a chance. It's a thrill and joy to share my photography and life with all of you. Thanks.
