Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Bikes and Motorcycles

Not this is not my Harley, but it is a selfie.

Not this is not my Harley, but it is a selfie.

We are starting a new five week series which I am calling Just Some Fun Topics.

This first week’s topic is Bikes and Motorcycles.  Feel free to dig around in your archives for photos if you don’t have anything knew you can photograph.   Most of all I hope you have fun.  This is definitely one where you can add photos of your favorite things.

I had a marvelous response from all of you on last week’s theme of My Favorite Things:  Chorus.  Thanks everyone you always amaze and delight me.  I’m proud to announce our featured bloggers from last week’s topic. Their posts really grabbed my attention. Please check out their posts and congratulate them. Maybe you will be chosen next week.

WoollyMuses – Tells such a fun story through these photos.  I adore the puppy in a cup.

Lillie-Put – Pastor J obviously put thought and a lot of fun into his entry this week.

The Sweet and the Bitter – Another post where there was a lot of thought about the lyrics. I like the statue of sad.

Oak Trees Studio – I adore all the things Peggy considers her favorite things.  Another fun post.

Jennifer Nichole Wells – A bee I even could tolerate.  I adore her miniature work.

The Day After – Dawn has some beautiful floral bees to a beautiful landscape, one of her favorite things.

Lin’s Doodles – Lin probably has the best close up of a bee.  Way to close for my liking, but great photo.

A Mom’s Blog – She captured her son’s sad face wonderfully well.  It’s priceless.

NorasPhots4U – She captured this bee perfectly.  Beautiful photography.

Current Series – Just some fun topics

  • Bikes and Motorcycles
  • Farm Animals
  • Catching People Unaware
  • Abstracts
  • Weathered Wood

he Next Series – The Letter “C”

  • Colorful Monotones (no sepia or black and white)
  • Churches (any religious building)
  • Close-up
  • Clouds
  • Cars – New, Vintage, Toy, etc.

How It Works?

Most weeks I will come up with a topic. Feel free to write me with things you want to learn about. Go through you photo archives and see what photos you have that fits the current week’s challenge, or better yet grab you camera and take a new photo!

ENJOY and have FUN.

  1. So many great shots and so many fantastic vehicles! Love those green ones in company and the last one with the patterned wheel. I’ll have to think about this…

  2. Cee, this was another fun topic – my poor bike was all damage in the our basement fire last year – I like bikes, but I hate most cyclists becuase they make up their own traffic rules and have no concideration for us others. The Danish cyclists are so much better then our Swedish.
My pick this week is the last image of your gallery. You have fantastic eye for detials, but I said that last week didn’t I???? http://wp.me/p293Pw-aDX

  3. Your photos are great! I particularly like that last one, of the bike hitching a train ride. Such wonderful colour!

I’ve decided to join in, if only just for this week. Coincidentally, I was sorting through some of my photos and had found a few bikes!

  4. Love the matching car and bike. And that seafoam color is wonderful too! I haven’t been in touch with the bike world much, but I love the idea of red tires. They didn’t have anything but black last time I looked … but that was a lot of years ago.

We don’t see many bicycle around here. Too hilly, too many blind (dangerous!) curves. You do see them a lot in and around Boston … but even kids don’t ride much locally. It’s too dangerous. Parents get visions of squashed children.

  5. You get such crisp photos with perfect color! I love the wild helmet one and the way the red matches the taillights and other things on the motorcycle. Great selfie too! I’ve got to learn to do selfies that way. 🙂
