Share Your World – 2015 Week #9

612How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?

Are you left or right handed?

If you HAD to change your name, what would you change it to?

Where do you hide junk when people come over?

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I sincerely hope you enjoy my questions for this week and find the questions interesting enough to play along.   If you ever want me to ask anything specific, please feel free to contact me.  You don’t think a lot about these questions, unless of course it is FUN for you.  Simply dream and just let loose, or you let your alter ego answer if you want.   Have a fabulous week everyone!!

Even though I oftentimes will add photos to my answers, it is not a requirement to participate in Share your World.

I will post four different questions each week for you to answer.  There are two ways which you can participate.

  1. Create a  Share Your World  post.  Then post the link to your blog in my comment box or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Share Your World” tag.
  3. Remember to Follow My Blog to get your weekly reminders.

I usually will respond to your entry on your blog, rather than on my page.

Here are my answers.

How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are? This is kind of a stupid question now that I am 54 because I can answer it a lot of different ways and it depends on the day too.  When I was younger, I probably could have told you a specific age and would have really believed it.  When I think of me being 54 now, I know I feel in my head I’m to nearly that old.  When I was in my twenties and younger, I thought I would think I would feel old.  Actually I don’t know what it means to fecartoon-lady-closetel old now.  Content and grown up somewhat, but not old.  I feel the same age as I always have…whatever that means.  Now when I talk about my body, yes, that feels old, but my body is slowly getting younger all the time.

Are you left or right handed? Most definitely right handed.  When I was younger I did teach myself how to write with my left hand.  Although I have not done it in years.

If you HAD to change your name, what would you change it to?  This is something I’ve thought a lot about.  I would switch it to Alexandria “Alex” Donner.  I would take Chris’s last name.  It fits her so well and now since we are married, I could easily live with it.  I have alway liked the name Alexandria and can actually see myself being called “Alex”.

Where do you hide junk when people come over?  We really don’t have junk.  We would need a real good vacuum and clean up the kitchen.  Neither one us are hoarders.  We still have half of our kitchen cabinets empty and we’ve lived in this house going on two years.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I had a great week last week.  I joined the community swimming pool since it starting to get warm enough to swim and do some water aerobics.  I’ve always enjoyed being in water.  I started walking 50 steps more each day.  Hoping to build up some stamina.

This week, I’m not sure what will come of it.  I know I have some small little daffodils to pick and take take photos of with my macro lens.  That will be interesting to play with.  I’ll just see what happens as the week unfolds.

Qi (energy) hugs,

    1. Hi Sue, I hadn’t been healthy enough to do any kind of exercising because it would use to much energy. But my qigong master suggested I try taking just 50 more steps a day. I got a pedometer on Thursday last week. The first day I purposely didn’t walk extra steps and that was 2135 steps. My highest day was 2985 (on Friday) and yesterday I walked 2731 steps. So I am definitely walking that extra 50 steps a day. I just have to watch my fatigue level, if I get to tired I have to slow down. What I am doing is when I get up to do something, take the long way around the room or walk down the hall. I call them cheater (in a fun way) steps. So far I am having a blast.

      1. Good for you! I don’t have a pedometer, so have no idea how many steps I do. Fatigue is my biggest problem, and I don’t allow myself to get too fatigued or it can be a long haul back…..days, weeks or even months. But I do what I can within my parameters… Onwards and upwards, eh?!

        1. I will have to allow for fatigue. I know I see me taking breaks during the day and then doing more steps at one time. Although I’m sure I will have days where I’m back as low as 2,000. Most people walk 3,000 or steps in a mile…..just to give you an idea. I take very short steps so I take many more steps than the average person. Although the more I walk I think I’m stretching out a little bit more too. It is all so technical and complicated. I still have to go with how I’m feeling. I don’t want to have to take that two or three weeks off to bounce back. I so understand that.

  1. Great post Alex …. you know of course I’m not going to be able to resist 😉
I’m in awe that you were able to teach yourself to write with your left hand. I think I have considerable dexterity with my left hand … but writing is something that’s always eluded me – and I’ve really tried!!

    1. LOL HI Joanne…I actually got to the point where I could write with both hands (mirror reflection) at the same it. It was cool to do. I love to challenge myself. I hate competing with others, but I adore competing with myself. 🙂

  2. I’m glad you had a good week! It’s great that you’ve been able to add more steps and join the community pool. I also like your choice of name – Alex Donner, it has a nice ring to it!

  3. I would be like Nancy Drew…she never aged past 18.
    I color right-handed.
My name would be Jack…I’d think outside the box every time the right music played.
Any misfit items go in my toy box.
Last week I was grateful for my daughter coming home.
Next week I look forward to pulling out my screenpla.

  4. I have enjoyed your questions so much, i don’t think i ever realized that YOUR answers were just below. Got to agree with you about the age question! i am older than you, but some days it feels like beig 12 is grand. Then there are others where i suspect 80 is staring me in the face?

  5. I see your name everywhere! I’m not adept at photos. That might be why it took me so long to get here. I think I’ll enjoy this challenge, and I will make an effort to share some photos on these posts. I enjoyed your answers.

    1. I actually started Share Your World before any of the photo challenges. I had a few people who were religious participants, but this past few months it has really taken off. I’m thrilled you want to play along. Also my photo challenges are for all people who just like to take photos. I would be thrilled to have you participate when you can. 🙂
