Share Your World – 2015 Week #12

032315sywWhen was the last time you sat on a park or garden bench for more than ten minutes? Describe the occasion.

Would you ever be interested in observing a surgery or do you turn away when the nurse brings out the needle?

Where’s your favorite place to take out-of-town guests?

If you had an unlimited shopping spree at only one store, which one would you choose? Why?

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I sincerely hope you enjoy my questions for this week and find the questions interesting enough to play along.   If you ever want me to ask anything specific, please feel free to contact me.  You don’t think a lot about these questions, unless of course it is FUN for you.  Simply dream and just let loose, or you let your alter ego answer if you want.   Have a fabulous week everyone!!

Even though I oftentimes will add photos to my answers, it is not a requirement to participate in Share your World.

I will post four different questions each week for you to answer.  There are two ways which you can participate.

  1. Create a  Share Your World  post.  Then post the link to your blog in my comment box or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Share Your World” tag.
  3. Remember to Follow My Blog to get your weekly reminders.

I usually will respond to your entry on your blog, rather than on my page.

Here are my answers.

When was the last time you sat on a park or garden bench for more than ten minutes? Describe the occasion.  I actually do it a lot.  Chris will wonder off and take a walk, I will sit and take in the view and relax.  Okay my version of relax is have camera in hand and willing to take photos of anyone or anything.  I have gotten some of my best odd ball photos from a park bench.  I will walk to a bench that brings in the most possibilities for a photo op.

Would you ever be interested in observing a surgery or do you turn away when the nurse brings out the needle?   Nope not me….I will never be interested watching or participating in a surgery.  I want to run when the needle is brought out, but unfortunately the needle is usually being used on me so I can’t exactly run.

Where’s your favorite place to take out-of-town guests?    We typically go on of two places.

We drive the Old Columbia Gorge Scenic Highway (off of I-84 east of Portland) and drive by all the falls.

We go to the beach.

If you had an unlimited shopping spree at only one store, which one would you choose? Why?  I would go one of either two of these places.

Camera Shop:  I would get all the lenses I would ever want for my new camera including gadgets.  Then I would also get Chris the same camera.  The cost of this could be tens of thousands of dollars by the time we were done.

Car Shop:  Both of our cars are getting old and we only need one vehicle.  So we would probably go back and get an Mercury Navigator.  That is around $65,000.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?  It was a good week and rather quiet, but it was just perfect.  Chris and I had some quality time together and we talked a lot.  We swam a couple of times and hot tubbed too.  My daffodils, rhodies and tulips are blooming.  Leaves are starting to bloom out and life is fabulous.

This week… More of the same please.

Qi (energy) hugs,

Cee

  1. Btw, while we are on the subject of which places to shop, any advice on what route I should take if I wanted to see the scenic ocean view AND make it to Woodburn? 🙂

        1. I forget that we are tax free down here. I’m going to Seattle for a qigong class in April and the tax on hotels and parking are outrageously high….at least in my opinion living in Oregon.

I’m assuming you go down I-5. You may want to take the I-205 and get off at Oregon City (Exit 9) and drive through Oregon City. That get’s you on the Highway 99E. You will go through go left at Barlow Road (just outside of Canby). Then go to Highway 211 (maybe about 8 miles) then turn right. You can then just follow that road through Woodburn and you will go over I-5 and you will end up at the outlet mall.

Note: there is no ocean view. We are about an hour and a half away. You will see some pretty scenic views. 99E between Oregon City and Canby you are following the Willamette river and it can be quite pretty.

  2. These are beautiful photos and the answers help knowing you more. You live in a scenic area. Forest, beach, farms…it sounds like heaven.
You surely shine your happiness through this post. Thanks for sharing it.
PS. I cannot find your comment about qigong anymore. I will use your contact form.
    Have a lovely week.
    Cheers.

  3. I’d love to go camera shopping with you. Maybe get a car, too. Park benches can be a photographer’s best friend. There are benches everywhere in the area, in all the little parks, in front of many public buildings and churches. I very much enjoyed both the question and your answers 🙂

  4. I’m with you – no thank you to watching surgery or a needle. I tried to watch a blood draw once. I fainted. Hope to find time to play.

I don’t have time to comment on every post, but you take such beautiful photos of flowers. I really liked the musical post and the post with the underside of the jet.
