032415weathered_3This is the last week of my Just Some Fun Topics challenge series.

This week’s topic is Weathered Wood.  Any kind of weathered wood which can come from on old building that lost it’s paint, driftwood, sculptures.  You be shown a variety of different photos that fit this category.

Feel free to dig around in your archives for photos if you don’t have anything knew you can photograph.   Most of all I hope you have fun.  This is definitely one where you can add photos of your favorite things.

Their posts really grabbed my attention. Please check out their posts and congratulate them. Maybe you will be chosen next week.

  2. Bravo Cee! The photo brings out the grain and the texture of the wood. Can almost detect the scent of lumber in the air. Thank you for sharing.

      • That was the one that sparked my impulse to respond to the challenge. I make mixed media art and this is a photo I have used and will use again I’m sure. I love making flower photos into mandalas and kaleidoscopes and this is a great one for that.

  4. Weathered wood! You must be surrounded by it, Cee, living where you do. Even the rafters in my house are made of ‘oregon’ and we are so far away. No oregon or hardwood used in houses here anymore; it’s all pine. I worry for the future of these houses.
I’m not sure if I have any photos, and as it is 6:30 AM and I about to ‘get behind the mule’, this challenge may have to wait until later.
Thank you so much for featuring my abstract photos. It is indeed an honour.

  5. Cee, as always you provide us with fantastic images. My pick for this week must be the wheel and the old house, normally I’m not a sepia person, but I really like it. Here is my entry – http://wp.me/p293Pw-aMP – will disappear for a couple of weeks now … but I will be back, it’s a threat. Take good care of yourself until then.
