Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Colorful Monotones

033115cffc_2This is the first week of a new challenge series that I call the “The Letter C”.  I hope you like the topics I have pick out for this series.

This week’s topic is Colorful Monotones (no sepia or black and white).  I would like to see at least 90% of your photo be one color.  Your photo can be of anything things, outdoors, indoors, macro, long range.  The possibilities are endless.  I just don’t want to see sepia tones or black and white.  You be shown a variety of different photos that fit this category.

Feel free to dig around in your archives for photos if you don’t have anything knew you can photograph.   Most of all I hope you have fun.  This is definitely one where you can add photos of your favorite things.

I had a marvelous response from all of you on last week’s theme of Weathered Wood Photography.  Thanks everyone you always amaze and delight me.  I’m proud to announce our featured bloggers from last week’s topic. Their posts really grabbed my attention. Please check out their posts and congratulate them. Maybe you will be chosen next week.

Shannon’s Creative Work – I think you could blow this structure down.  Wonderful photograph.

AnotherDayInParadise – I adore her photo of the petrified tree from Yellowstone Park.  The roots on her second photo make cool patterns too.

My Other Blog – I adore the first photo of the old wood crates.  There is a series of three photos and all are marvelous.

The Day After – Dawn takes wonderful countryside photos and her weathered wood photos are simply fabulous.

Unexpected In Common Hours – A wonderful photo of some Outbuildings at the Chief Vann House, a Cherokee leader, in Chatsworth, Georgia (ca. 1765 – 1809).

Renaissance Musings – Two great photos:  One of driftwood and the other of an old structure.  The structure collapsed just a couple of weeks after that photo was taken.

Francine in Retirement – Francine has some photos of an old wooden bridge for us to enjoy.

Ohm Sweet Ohm – Allan has an old door with a sign which he changed to black and white and created quite a dramatic photo.

Gluten Free.  Leaker food! Leaker life! – Great gallery of photos for this challenge.  I simply adore the wood and sand photo.

  1. I am always astounded by your ability to capture detail Cee! I can’t believe that even the shadow of the tiny critter has the finest detail outlined. More power to your lens.

  3. Okay. Interesting. I have a lot of green stuff. You know, back when there were leaves and trees in the world, a color known as green abounded. I think I can find some of that 🙂 Love the red … boat hull? With the anchor chain. And such a beatuiful cat!
