Share Your World – 2015 Week #17

042715sywWhat is your most favorite smell/scent?

Do you prefer long hair or short hair for yourself?

Do you plan out things usually or do you do them more spontaneous (for example if you are visiting a big city you don’t know?)

What is your favorite outdoor activity?

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I sincerely hope you enjoy my questions for this week and find the questions interesting enough to play along.   If you ever want me to ask anything specific, please feel free to contact me.  You don’t think a lot about these questions, unless of course it is FUN for you.  Simply dream and just let loose, or you let your alter ego answer if you want.   Have a fabulous week everyone!!

Even though I oftentimes will add photos to my answers, it is not a requirement to participate in Share your World.

I will post four different questions each week for you to answer.  There are two ways which you can participate.

  1. Create a  Share Your World  post.  Then post the link to your blog in my comment box or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Share Your World” tag.
  3. Remember to Follow My Blog to get your weekly reminders.

I usually will respond to your entry on your blog, rather than on my page.

HERE ARE MY ANSWERS.

What is your most favorite smell/scent?  I really don’t know if I have a favorite.  Flower fields often overwhelm me and I tend to get sick.  We don’t bake that often, but some baking can have some of the best scents.  Anything thing with cinnamon, nutmeg, all spice or homemade bread.  I think I would have to say tea tree.  I really like that.  There are a lot of scents I like, so I don’t know if I have an absolute favorite.  How’s that for a non answer.

Do you prefer long hair or short hair for yourself?   For me long hair.  I keep it long enough for a pony tail.  I did have nearly all the way down my back, but that was to wild and crazy.

Do you plan out things usually or do you do them more spontaneous (for example if you are visiting a big city you don’t know?)  Typically we have a rough idea of what we want to do, but our best times are when we go off plan and just to what feels like more fun.  There was one vacation we were going to be camping out for a week on the Eastern Plains of Colorado in the winter just because we got a new pop-up trailer we wanted to try out and see some things we’ve not seen before.  We were packed for winter.  As we were driving out of town we decided to visit some friends of ours in Tucson, Arizona.  Ended up having  a great time and buying summer clothes.  Then we drove up to the Grand Canyon and stayed in that area for awhile too.  We ended up in an 18″ snow storm in the Grand Canyon area.  We had a blast.  Oh and our trailer held up to that snow load.    So I would say we are more spontaneous than planned.

042715syw_1What is your favorite outdoor activity?  For me it would be photography.  Most photos I take are outside.  I’m not that physically mobile yet, so going to nurseries and various farms is a wonderful way to get some outdoor time.  I need for outdoor time that is for sure.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?   Last week was a mixture of things.  Early in the week I rested and relaxed a lot.  If you have been following Share Your World, you know that I’ve been extremely exhausted.  Early in the week I recovered extremely well from that.  On Friday Chris and I went to Seattle, Washington for the weekend.  The photo to the right was taken from our hotel room.  We were greeted to Seattle with a rainbow.  We went to Seattle basically for a Qigong class, so we were not sightseers.  I only took 36 photographs.  And for me that is a record low.  There is an entire story around our trip to Seattle, which I may share in another post.  Seattle is beautiful, but I would recommend never drive there, especially if you are small town people like we are.

This week I just plan on relaxing more and continue falling in love with Oregon and my little town of Canby again.

Qi (energy) hugs,

Cee

  1. I look forward to seeing your photos of Seattle. Even though I live so close, I rarely go there because it is such a nightmare to drive in. I had to go into downtown last Monday and I’m sure I looked like a total hick from the sticks the way I was looking around at everything. Luckily, my husband did the downtown driving part. I hope you have a nice quiet week to recover from your weekend adventures.

    1. We stayed downtown at a hotel not to far from the Space Needle. Talk about nerves while driving. I’m so glad we had our iPhones to navigate. We never would have gone anywhere. We’ve never seen such crazy drivers and we’ve lived in some big cities. Fortunately Chris did all the driving and she was a total basket case as was I. I can understand why you don’t go there.

  2. You are certainly more spontaneous than I am where holidays are concerned but I guess when you camp you are not as tied to a set plan as you don’t have to worry about hotel reservations etc which would be great.

    1. We are usually more like you….look up things we want to do and get a general idea and just it turn out to what it does. We rarely have a good time if we follow our initials plans. We have to deviate somewhat 🙂

    1. I started driving in Southern California and then lived in Denver for 25 years. I’ve never seen anything like Seattle before. It’s just CRAZY. Been basically living in the country now for 10 years or so….. yikes. 🙂

  3. Hi Cee!

Here I am, late as usual! I’ve had such a busy week, but things are calming down now, so maybe next week my entry will be in a little earlier, hopefully? Oh well, better late than never. I’m so glad that you’ve been getting some rest – that’s a good thing. I love your photo – the view is beautiful! So keep resting, my friend. Hugs to you, as always!

    Cindy 🙂
