Share Your World – 2015 Week #18

Our girls love adventure and car rides.
Our girls love adventure and car rides.

What type of pets do you have or want?  Or do you not want pets?

What was or is your favorite cartoon?

When you’re alone at home, do you wear shoes, socks, slippers, or go barefoot?

Are you a traveler or a homebody?

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I sincerely hope you enjoy my questions for this week and find the questions interesting enough to play along.   If you ever want me to ask anything specific, please feel free to contact me.  You don’t think a lot about these questions, unless of course it is FUN for you.  Simply dream and just let loose, or you let your alter ego answer if you want.   Have a fabulous week everyone!!

Even though I oftentimes will add photos to my answers, it is not a requirement to participate in Share your World.

I will post four different questions each week for you to answer.  There are two ways which you can participate.

  1. Create a  Share Your World  post.  Then post the link to your blog in my comment box or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Share Your World” tag.
  3. Remember to Follow My Blog to get your weekly reminders.

I usually will respond to your entry on your blog, rather than on my page.

HERE ARE MY ANSWERS.

Our boys snuggling on Chris’s chair.

What type of pets do you have or want?  Or do you not want pets?  As most of your know, we have our girls (the pugs) and two orange tabby boys.

What was or is your favorite cartoon?  I have never been a huge cartoon fan, even as a kid.  I would have to say Casper the Friendly Ghost or Roadrunner were my favorite cartoons.

When you’re alone at home, do you wear shoes, socks, slippers, or go barefoot?  I have learned to always wear socks on my feet to keep them warm.  It just helps your entire body keep warm.  I usually have shoes or sandals on inside the house.

Are you a traveler or a homebody? I have been both in my lifetime.  I love to travel by car.  I no longer travel by plane because I feel like a sardine.  Chris and I have become homebody’s over the last 15 years since I’ve been so sick.  Although we are starting to get our wandering spirits back.  So I would say in the next couple of years we will be doing a lot more traveling.  We love to see new things and go new places.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?   My week ended up being fairly relaxing and getting back into a normal routine.  With the past three weeks, we have our heat out then that got fixed and we were off to Seattle.  So now it is time to recoup and just enjoy a slower pace for a week or so.  I got a couple of dahlia tubers to plant and Chris is working hard in our yard to get things prepared for adding more geraniums and my dahlias.  Our peonies are budding and starting to show signs of colors and as you know my irises are starting to bloom.

Qi (energy) hugs,

Cee

  1. Casper and Roadrunner were two of my favorites too! I loved most cartoons though: Scooby Doo and the Super Friends. Even the Smurfs! I’m glad you’re settling back into a relaxing routine. Have a great week!

  2. We have two cats, a male and a female, that are siblings and will be a year old in a few days. Pepe and Hazel.
I don’t like cartoons anymore, my favorites as a kid used to be Rugrats, Bobby’s World, and so many more. I do like animated movies though. Toy Story being my favorites.
I wear socks and slippers when I can find them.
I am both a traveler and a homebody.

  5. Great questions and great answers, too. It’s hard resolving the pets/travel thing, isn’t it? Even when I could take them, I really don’t want to. I like being free of the daily responsibilities when we are away from home, but I worry about our aging canines.

    1. When we went to Seattle it was the first time we boarded them. They were at our vets they also board. Shadow on of the pugs was never truly potty trained (she was a rescue dog) and she is old enough now she goes whenever she wants in the house. So taking her was not an option any longer.

  6. Hi Cee!

See – I’m early this week! Yay! Finally I’m back on schedule once again. I noted that we have one more thing in common – neither of us cared for cartoons as children. I think we may be kindred spirits, you and I! 🙂 It sounds like you’re feeling better, and I’m glad for it. I hope things continue on that way for you. Have a great week! Hugs from me as always! 🙂

  7. Love the questions, and glad to hear you’re feeling better this week, Cee. I liked and watched several cartoons (from Bugs Bunny to Scooby Doo to Voltron) when I was younger, but I never felt like I was obsessed with them. Same as an adult; in fact, until having kids, I didn’t understand the fascination with adults watching ‘cartoon movies,’ but then after I’d watched Toy Story for the fifth or eighth or tenth time, I started to really get into the dialogue and how skillful the writing really is. An ancillary art form to the short stories I like to concentrate on writing, but really helpful to pay attention to and expertly done nevertheless (in fact, I think one or more of the TS writers has done a TED talk that’s really good for fiction writers to imbibe).
On another note, your & Chris’ pet-kids are adorable, too. Thank goodness the world has patient, loving people willing to give ‘senior’ pets a forever home and not dump them in a shelter (or worse) when they become incontinent or inconvenient in some way. WTG!

    1. Hi Leigh, I like the Toy Story Series of movies too. We’ve watched them a couple of times. Writers for both kids and adults are so talented because they have to entertain two totally different types of people and maturity.

      We love our kids. 🙂
