Share Your World – 2015 Week #19

This week’s questions are all about your home, whether it be a house, a mansion, a trailer, an apartment, or treehouse.  I hope you enjoy this mini theme version of Share Your World.

Would you prefer a one floor house or multiple levels?

If you have a TV, would you prefer the TV in the living room or another room?

When you leave a room, do you turn the lights off behind you or keep the lights on throughout your house most of the time? Explain your answer.

What’s your favorite room in your home?

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I sincerely hope you enjoy my questions for this week and find the questions interesting enough to play along.   If you ever want me to ask anything specific, please feel free to contact me.  You don’t think a lot about these questions, unless of course it is FUN for you.  Simply dream and just let loose, or you let your alter ego answer if you want.   Have a fabulous week everyone!!

Even though I oftentimes will add photos to my answers, it is not a requirement to participate in Share your World.

I will post four different questions each week for you to answer.  There are two ways which you can participate.

  1. Create a  Share Your World  post.  Then post the link to your blog in my comment box or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Share Your World” tag.
  3. Remember to Follow My Blog to get your weekly reminders.

I usually will respond to your entry on your blog, rather than on my page.

HERE ARE MY ANSWERS.

Would you prefer a one floor house or multiple levels?  This is a simple question, one floor house.  That is what we have and I love it.

Not the best photo in the world, but you get the general idea of what our TV room looks like.

If you have a TV, would you prefer the TV in the living room or another room?  We have one of our bedrooms dedicated as a TV room.  It was a room for a teenage girl who had her room painted a dark lime green.  It actually works well with the black TV.  We have it decorated with a one of my flowers blown up to poster size and two 11×14 florals.  The photos are all black and white.  So it is quite a striking room.

When you leave a room, do you turn the lights off behind you or keep the lights on throughout your house most of the time? Explain your answer.  I would leave them on, but Chris after 25 years is training me to turn them off.  Every once in awhile I notice that she still has to turn a light of or two.   She does know though when I am feeling insecure or scared to leave the lights on.  I tend to leave the lights on because of past childhood abuse.

What’s your favorite room in your home?  Honestly in our house I don’t have a favorite.  It just happens to be the room I am in at the moment.  There isn’t anything in my house I don’t like.  My least favorite is the kitchen.  Because it always needs cleaning and I don’t have the stamina to stand and cook or clean a lot.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?   Last week was a great week.  Got plenty of rest.  Chris and I had some great conversations.  I also got in touch with a friend I knew in my twenties.  So we are emailing back and forth a lot right now.  And I am having so much fun.  This week, the Iris Gardens are open (now until the end of May).  Chris and I are planning on going down on Friday.

Qi (energy) hugs,

Cee

  1. Your tv room looks really cool. Love the photos on the wall. I have learned to turn the lights off but it’s taken a long time. I used to leave cabinet doors open all the time too – drove Dave crazy. 🙂

    1. I am not a white wall person. Part of what we liked about this house when we bought it was most of it was painted. Two rooms aren’t. Mostly we are just living with what they were painted before we moved in. We will eventually change some of the colors though.

  2. I like your TV room. A dedicated TV room is a pretty good idea. I like the colour too, I don’t know if I’d be brave enough to use it but it does go well with black and I like the pictures.

  3. I also love a ranch and wished I lived in one. I love the lime green walls and a TV room is a great idea! Although I like my kitchen, I would rather not spend as much time in it as I do. The stove is my least favorite thing to clean – that and the Lodge cast iron cookware. When I feel afraid, I definitely prefer the lights on. It sucks that you were abused. I’m glad you are in a very safe, loving relationship now.

Sorry I haven’t been around in a while. My blogging life (and real life) can be like that sometimes. I try to participate, but every so often, I retreat.

    Hugs!

  4. I actually like the lime green room and I don’t like lime green, normally. But you’re right. It works with the black and white. I wish my “hot pink” office worked as well … and I have no one to blame for that but myself.

  5. Your TV room is quite striking! I really like the black with the lime green. I feel the same way about my kitchen. I clean it and two hours later it needs it again. It’s never-ending!

  6. It’s been a while, so I’m going to just answer questions here. Lessee – I prefer a multi-storey home, but since I am now unable to climb stairs I am stuck in a one-level home, which is what I have. I’m not complaining, really, but it wouldn’t be my choice if I had one.//I prefer the television to be in some other room. Right now it is in the salon, our ‘living room’ and I find it really annoying. Always before this house I’ve had a tv room.//I would tend to turn the lights out, except on those insecure nights – I’m familiar with those. Only, I live with three of my children, and no lights seem to ever get turned out ever. If I am the last one to bed, I turn off all the lights behind me when I go/.//My favourite room would be my bedroom if I had one. We’ve just moved to a new house, and a new room was/is being built which was supposed to be done the end of April. Well, guess what? So my favourite room is the bedroom I don’t have yet. Prayers and/or fingers crossed that it actually gets finished someday. *wry grin*
