Share Your World – 2015 Week #22

imagesI came up with a another way of doing Share Your World for this again this week. Finish these four sentences.  You can be talk about yourself or be creative and write a piece of fiction.  It’s up to you.  Have some fun.

Complete this sentence:  Never In My Life Have I….

Complete this sentence:  My neighbour wants me to help her…..

Complete this sentence:  When I was little I wanted…

Complete this sentence:  Will you come here to…

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I sincerely hope you enjoy my questions for this week and find the questions interesting enough to play along.   If you ever want me to ask anything specific, please feel free to contact me.  You don’t think a lot about these questions, unless of course it is FUN for you.  Simply dream and just let loose, or you let your alter ego answer if you want.   Have a fabulous week everyone!!

Even though I oftentimes will add photos to my answers, it is not a requirement to participate in Share your World.

If you adore challenges as much as I do, please check out WordPress’s Blog Event Listing for other challenges.

I will post four different questions each week for you to answer.  There are two ways which you can participate.

  1. Create a  Share Your World  post.  Then post the link to your blog in my comment box or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Share Your World” tag.
  3. Remember to Follow My Blog to get your weekly reminders.

I usually will respond to your entry on your blog, rather than on my page.

Complete this sentence:  Never In My Life Have I…. I could go a million ways with this question…. let me think a minute.

thought I would have so much to appreciate even every little detail of it, the good, the ugly, the fantastic, the pain, the horror and the thrill.  I wouldn’t be who I am today if my life had been different.  I am kind of proud of who I am turning out to be.

451043189_XSComplete this sentence:  My neighbour wants me to help her…..  bury the bodies she had accumulated over the last 12 years.  She only asked because she saw me burying something in my yard she must have assumed what I buried was a body.  However I only buried a time capsule I left for my grandchildren to open on November 7 2060 on my 100th birthday.  I left them an old safe filled with family heirlooms that had been passed down the years.  This house and land had been in my family for 150 years.  My neighbor by the way is my older sister who also lives on the old family homestead.

[Okay I’ve been watching the TV series Criminal Minds which is all about serial killers, so I had some fun with one.]

Complete this sentence:  When I was little I wanted…  to be about anything I thought up at the moment.  I rarely stuck to one profession for more than a week or so.  Is it any wonder I really am not a career driven person.

Complete this sentence:  Will you come here to… help me clean out this old storage room at my great-grandfather’s old business Underwood Typewiter’s business.  You can have anything you want if you help me clean it up.  I couldn’t believe my ears I have been a typist for the past 50 years and started typing on those huge old typewriters.  I was hoping to get a couple of these old beauties for my home.

The_Childrens_Museum_of_Indianapolis_-_Typewriter[Note:  From 1874 the Underwood family made typewriter ribbon and carbon paper, and were among a number of firms who produced these goods for Remington. When Remington decided to start producing ribbons themselves, the Underwoods decided to get into the business of manufacturing typewriters.  The original Underwood typewriter was invented by German-American Franz Xaver Wagner, who showed it to entrepreneur John Thomas Underwood. Underwood supported Wagner and bought the company, recognizing the importance of the machine. Underwood No. 1 and No. 2s, made between 1896 and 1900, had “Wagner Typewriter Co.” printed on the back.]

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

It was a quiet week for me.  I got plenty of rest and the sun was out.  So I was able to do some of my qigong practice outside.  That was real nice.  This week it is starting out raining, but should improve during the week.  So hopefully I will be able to practice more outside again.  Otherwise I really don’t have a lot planned.

Qi (energy) hugs,

  1. I enjoyed your answers and plan to get to these one day too. I like the ones that seemed true and the creative ones also. Baby steps for me, but I am getting there on some challenges.

  2. Just read this on FB… Good friends don’t judge you or ask a lot of questions. They help you move the body and never speak of it again.

  3. I had to laugh when Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) of House of Cards claimed his family invented the Underwood Typewriter. It was such a neat play on his name. Love those typewriters where you had to bang on the keys really hard. Electric typewriters were so high tech after that!

    1. When I first switch over to electric from the old manuals, it seems so weird. Plus the noise it made was horrendous in its own way. I can’t think of a better sound than a smooth rhythm of an old manual typewriter.

      Liked by 1 person

      1. Mine was never smooth. It was always “thunk thunk thunk”y. And of course the keys crashed into each other and you had to release them if you typed too fast…
