Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge: Houses

houses-bwThis week’s topic is houses:  big, small, lighthouses, birdhouse, firehouse, dog house, doll house or toys.  Houses can be anything we live in or animals or even our dolls.  The possibilities are endless.  Have fun and use your imagination and creativity with this topic.

House to the left is on stilts because it near the Siletz River in Oregon which periodically floods.

This challenge accepts the following types of photography:

  • Black and white photography
  • Sepia tones (browns)
  • Selective color with the majority of the photo being in black and white.

Hopefully you will have a lot of fun with this challenge and find your creative eye will be expanded.  Here are a couple tips and tricks posts I have done specifically for black and white photography.

  2. Before I read your caption, I looked at the house on stilts and thought “Flooding?” It seemed the only reason why anyone would build a house that way. Of course, there IS moving upland away from the river …
