This week’s topic is Older Than 50 Years (1965). The one question everyone asks if you can have people over 50. The answer is yes, but I would hope they have a lot of character and are closer to age 100. The possibilities are endless for this challenge is endless. Have fun and use your imagination and creativity with this topic.
For a list of upcoming topics, please see the list at below. Be creative and challenge yourself. Look for contrast or highly textured subjects to shoot.

Please feel free to keep adding your Older than 50 Years photos to this post through August 5. On August 6, I will have a new post for with the topic of hands and paws and post featured bloggers for this time period.

OOOOOO, the books! I love the sight and smell of books. I had tried to photocopy such kind of bounded books printed in 1950s before, and the pages are so brittle that they crack away if not careful.
I love this week’s theme a lot because I am kind of fond of oldish stuffs. Here is mine: http://cocoaevenings.com/2015/07/16/cees-black-white-photo-challenge-older-than-50-years-1965-my-singapore-my-home/

Your picture looks just like my Dad’s handwriting. I found a little notebook where he listed expenditures…probably 60 years old at least–but yours is much more atmospheric. I love pictures of old letters and books and handwriting. Love your picture. Mine is a bit of a twist–perhaps cheating..but.

I love your black and white photos, and I love vintage books. Is the diary from someone you know? It has got to be a real treasure to read. I remember seeing the gas pumps like the one pictured, only without the rust. 🙂
