Here is my for The Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge with the topic of Gathering.
This first photo is of the Matriarch of the Gitts family, who owns Swan Island Dahlias. She is in purple. Very often in the early part of the dahlia season you see her talking to many of her guests. I’ve actually had a couple of very nice conversation with her too. She just walks up to you and starts talking like you are old friends. She has some remarkable stories.

I like the reflections in the last photo. Their distorted form seems to delicately accentuate the people on the shore.

I think it is the color, but it seems to be everyone’s favorite including mine.
