Share Your World – 2015 Week #52

122815sywTell how you are feeling today in the form of a weather report. (For example, partly cloudy, sunny with a chance for showers, etc.)

What is most memorable about your high school years?

Have you ever owned a rock, pet rock, or gem that is not jewerly?

Complete this sentence:  I like watching…

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I sincerely hope you enjoy my questions for this week and find the questions interesting enough to play along.   If you ever want me to ask anything specific, please feel free to contact me.  You don’t think a lot about these questions, unless of course it is FUN for you.  Simply dream and just let loose, or you let your alter ego answer if you want.   Have a fabulous week everyone!!

Even though I oftentimes will add photos to my answers, it is not a requirement to participate in Share your World.

Here is the basic format.  I will ask you:

  • To answer three random questions each week.
  • Respond to a fourth item (I will randomly chose from this list)
    • Making a List out of a topic
    • Completing the sentence I start
    • Answering a Would you Rather question
  • Bonus Question is always the same  “What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?”  Because we all need to be reminded that there are many things in our lives to be grateful about.

I will post four different questions each week for you to answer.  There are two ways which you can participate.

  1. Create a SYW  post.  Then post the link to your blog in my comment box or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Share Your World” or “SYW” tag.
  3. Remember to Follow My Blog to get your weekly reminders.

I usually will respond to your entry on your blog, rather than on my page.

HERE ARE MY ANSWERS

Tell how you are feeling today in the form of a weather report. (For example, partly cloudy, sunny with a chance for showers, etc.)  I would have to say cloudy with a few showers with maybe a chance a clearing skies.  Allergy alert high.

With our all time record rain for December, I currently feel much like our weather.  I think we had maybe two days of rain free weather all month and that was on 25th and 26th.  Mind you I love and adore the rain, but this month we have had a bit too much.  This month alone caught us up on rain which until the mid-November we were way under our yearly rain.  We are now a inches above normal rainfall for us.  So that is very good news.

What is most memorable about your high school years?  To be absolutely honest, I would have to say graduating.  I was an extreme introvert, slightly geeky and overweight in high school.   I felt really isolated and alone.  I was a teacher aid and tutor also.

Have you ever owned a rock, pet rock, or gem that is not jewelry?  My kind of question.  I’ve always been a rock hound.  In another life I would have loved to have been a volcanologist or geologist or studied earth sciences.  Get me around dirt and rocks.  I’m happy.  Here are a couple photos of smallish rocks in yards (8 inches or so) and a hand-held thought rock that Chris bought me.

Complete this sentence:  I like watching… sitting or taking a peaceful walk in nature among trees or near a river.  On our two days of non-rain, Chris and I enjoyed a drive out and trip to one of our parks.  We also sat outside with our garage open and listened to the rain yesterday and just watched nature at it’s best in winter.  We also have our bird feeders and and the birds are fun to watch.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?  Last week was just an ordinary week.  This is the time of year I have a hard time trying to stay vitalized and enthusiastic.  Winters are rather ugly, especially for a flower girl and long.  Okay for Oregon, we stay green and out winter is basically over by February 15.  But I lose enthusiasm for photography in late December though January. I’m refusing to let that happen this year.  I’m finding little things, even if inside to take photos of and it’s a fun challenge so far.

Qi (energy) hugs,

Cee

  1. We know we’ve had too much rain when you, the rain lover, is tired of it! I told myself I wouldn’t complain about rain after our long, hot, dry summer but it’s getting really, really old. I feel so heavy and lethargic and mentally dull. I see lots of sunshine in our forecast in the coming week. I hope it will shine over the whole Pacific Northwest so we can all dry out and perk up!

  3. Did any of us really shine in high school? It was the pits for me. I didn’t start to become fully human until college. Thanks for giving us a great year of challenges. It’s bound to stop raining eventually. Getting past your drought IS a good thing, and the sun will surely come back soon.

  4. Oh dear! I get you when you say winters are ugly for a flower girl. Just don’t see your favourite thing anymore. But yes, do go on! Never know what’s waiting round the corner for you to photograph.
