Share Your World – 2016 Week 3

Hs6_mn6HWhat is your favorite piece of art? (it doesn’t have to be famous)

What made you smile today?

Which place do you recommend as a Must-See? Please state which country, state or providence.

Complete this sentence: When I was younger I used to….

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I sincerely hope you enjoy my questions for this week and find the questions interesting enough to play along.   If you ever want me to ask anything specific, please feel free to contact me.  You don’t think a lot about these questions, unless of course it is FUN for you.  Simply dream and just let loose, or you let your alter ego answer if you want.   Have a fabulous week everyone!!

Even though I oftentimes will add photos to my answers, it is not a requirement to participate in Share your World.

Here is the basic format.  I will ask you:

  • To answer three random questions each week.
  • Respond to a fourth item (I will randomly chose from this list)
    • Making a List out of a topic
    • Completing the sentence I start
    • Answering a Would you Rather question
  • Bonus Question is always the same  “What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?”  Because we all need to be reminded that there are many things in our lives to be grateful about.

I will post four different questions each week for you to answer.  There are two ways which you can participate.

  1. Create a SYW  post.  Then post the link to your blog in my comment box or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Share Your World” or “SYW” tag.
  3. Remember to Follow My Blog to get your weekly reminders.

I usually will respond to your entry on your blog, rather than on my page.

HERE ARE MY ANSWERS

011816sywWhat is your favorite piece of art? (it doesn’t have to be famous)  I really don’t have an answer for this question.  For the most part I don’t like paintings, but there are some I do enjoy.  Photography I really like, but you already know that. My favorite photographer changes as I learn more about photography or see specials on specific photographers.  Art to me is creativity and it always changing.  The art we carry from house to house is a dolphin that is surround by a slight blue teal acrylic base.  See snapshot to the right, also pictured is my Quan Yin statue. Both stay on my desk.

What made you smile today?  It is only 8:00 am and I have smiled a lot already.  I looked at a bunch of photos that bloggers post forWordPresses weekly challenge “alphabet”.  I smiled at a lot of those.  My pug is snoring in her bed and she always give me a smile.  Chris has the day off and we already had some nice pleasant conversations and no doubt there were smiles there too.  There is a little blue in the sky today.  So that simply cheers me.  Life is good especially seeing and enjoying the small stuff.

Which place do you recommend as a Must-See? Please state which country, state or providence.  The one place Chris and I went to was the Painted Dessert and Petrified Forest in Arizona.  Sorry I don’t have photos it was before age of digital cameras.  Anyhow, it felt like we were transported to a different planet and time.  It is a place I would not like to live because it is so barren, but the views and colors are totally breathtaking and beautiful.  Here is photo of the painted dessert that I grabbed off the web.

Arizona collection.

Petrified wood is a fossil. It forms when plant material is buried by sediment and protected from decay by oxygen and organisms. Then, groundwater rich in dissolved solids flows through the sediment replacing the original plant material with silica, calcite, pyrite or another inorganic material such as opal.  Here are a couple of photos that I found on the web as well.  The first one is of huge old growth trees that over 1,000 years has fossilized into petrified wood.

And here is a photo of some polished petrified wood.

Complete this sentence: When I was younger I used to…. dance in my bedroom at night.  I just loved to move and feel the strength, agility and balance in my body.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?  Last week was a good week.  We started up with our 1st class of qigong for the year and it was nice to see everyone again.  Today Chris and I are going antiquing (that is if our plans don’t change).  Although with nice weather it may be more of a car ride and drive by shooting (photography).  We’ll see.  Have a great week everyone.

Qi (energy) hugs,

Cee

  2. Arizona. Lots of stuff to see there! I loved the Painted Desert too, but so much of the place is really grand. Thanks for this challenge. It is always a lot of fun. I always write it before I read yours. Just so I won’t be overly influenced 🙂
