Here is my entry for this week’s Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge with the topic of State of Mind.
With the start of spring, Chris (check out her blog if you haven’t already) and I have been going out on little drives around the countryside of our little town to marvel at the changing of winter into spring. I go with my camera hoping to find some fun things to photograph. We call this “drive by” shooting. Anyhow, we live where there are ample tree, plants and flower nurseries. We were driving and we got behind this truck that was transporting a lot of new trees most likely to a local store or landscaper. The scenery was beautiful. The clouds were starting to separate from a recent little rain shower. The deciduous trees are starting to lighten up and show their leaves. This scene just left me light and hopeful for the season and spring showers and plant life to continue to bloom.

I like the irony of the trees being carried in the truck through the forest of trees.

Great shot! I can understand taking your camera on a drive, or taking your dog for a drive, but I always wonder when I see people taking their trees for a drive. 😉

Trees on a truck, makes me think of Joni Mitchell – ‘They paved paradise and put up a tree museum’. Great shot, Cee.

Beautiful. This looks like it was shot from the driver’s side through the window. two questions: one, how do you keep your windshield so clean and ‘b’, were you driving?

My camera shoots right through my windshield and doesn’t focus on the dirt If I focus one something farther away from the windshield. Plus the rain tends to keep it fairly clean for us too. I was not driving. 😀 😀

I was shooting through a chain link fence once and focused in the distance but the fence was still visible- even though it was a soft blur!
