I have been nominated by my friend Lena at iPictureThis blog to participate in a challenge called Seven Day Nature Photo Challenge. Lena photographic eye is simply wonderful. I love to see nature through her eyes.
To take part in the challenge I’m supposed to post one photo per day for seven days, of anything from the natural world. And every day I should nominate a new member. Today I would like to nominate Irene from Reflections and Nightmares- Irene A Waters (writer and memoirist) blog. Irene and I have known each other for a few years. She is definitely one of my blogging friends.
If anyone who follows me would like to be nominated for to participate in this challenge, please feel free to contact me and I will gladly nominate you.
Today’s nature is of a little pine (conifer of some sort) we have in our backyard. It is about 4 years old and is only about 4 feet high. It will grow only to 15 feet. Chris was looking at it this morning and found some real small pine cones on it. I thought I would share some photos with you all.
Here are the little pine cones on a tree branch.
Chris brought me a few pinecones inside so I could use my macro lens on it. The seeds and cones were placed on a mouse pad and I placed a pen next to it so you would all have a concept of how small these cones and seeds are.

Wow, so tiny! I’ll have to check my conifers to see if they have any of these little cones.
