Flower of the Day – April 18, 2016 – Lilac

Feel free to add your floral photo to the comments. This way we can all enjoy everyone’s flowers.

I adore the little dandelion seed that landed.  I took this photo, April 17, 2016.  It is the same flower head that I showed in it’s budding stage on April 7, 2016.  It leans almost horizontal now with all the weight of the blooms.

  2. I love lilacs. We had a huge hedge of lilacs here in France but my husband and son decided that the hedge had to go. We are never here when they bloom. In California I have a few plants but California really doesn’t have the best climate for lilacs. So I will just enjoy your photos.

  3. It’s hard to stop looking. Scrolling down to make a comment, I had to to scroll back up to the photo three times to get another look. Now I’ve forgotten what I was gonna type. LOL Had to scroll up one more time. I would love to see a macro! Your photos are always awesome. 🙂

  4. Gorgeous! Oh how I love the smell of lilacs! Ours have just begun. We get a one-time only bloom. My neighbor has several repeat bloomers, though, and for about two weeks next month, the entire block will smell of lilacs. Spring is intoxicating 🙂
