Share Your World – 2016 Week 20

With your answers, please remember we are in the SYW world and which may not always match our reality.

677-teenage-girl-reading-a-book-pvWhen do you feel most connected with others?

What daily habit would you like to introduce to your life?

What one mini-little-adventure would you like to have in the coming week?

List at least of things or events that changed your Life: It could be as simple as a book or meeting a certain person?

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I sincerely hope you enjoy my questions for this week and find the questions interesting enough to play along.   If you ever want me to ask anything specific, please feel free to contact me.  You don’t think a lot about these questions, unless of course it is FUN for you.  Simply dream and just let loose, or you let your alter ego answer if you want.   Have a fabulous week everyone!!

Even though I oftentimes will add photos to my answers, it is not a requirement to participate in Share your World.

Here is the basic format.  I will ask you:

  • To answer three random questions each week.
  • Respond to a fourth item (I will randomly chose from this list)
    • Making a List out of a topic
    • Completing the sentence I start
    • Answering a Would you Rather question
  • Bonus Question is always the same  “What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?”  Because we all need to be reminded that there are many things in our lives to be grateful about.

I will post four different questions each week for you to answer.  There are two ways which you can participate.

  1. Create a SYW  post.  Then post the link to your blog in my comment box or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Share Your World” or “SYW” tag.
  3. Remember to Follow My Blog to get your weekly reminders.

I usually will respond to your entry on your blog, rather than on my page.

HERE ARE MY ANSWERS

When do you feel most connected with others?  I would have to say when I am having a conversation with a meaningful someone.  It can even be as simple as sharing some piece of ourselves on our blog in the comments section with someone else.  Or it can be something that is huge and life altering for one or both parties.

What daily habit would you like to introduce to your life?  Get more outdoor time.  I hate to admit, I don’t get outside nearly as much as I would like to.

What one mini-little-adventure would you like to have in the coming week?  This is a super easy question this week.  [For those who are wondering, yes I did pick this question on purpose just for me.]  I ordered a second camera and I will get it on Tuesday.  I have ordered the Nikon CoolPix P900.

When I had my Nikon D80, I had the Nikkor 70-300m lens.  I adored that lens.  Now since I have changed to my mirrorless Sony a7II full frame camera.  There is not a full frame lens that fits my camera without using a conversation kit.  So I’m getting this camera more for the photos I really want to zoom in on.  The two biggest drawbacks are only shoots in JEPG and the CMOS isn’t too high.  I figured stabilization won’t be a huge issue because I really don’t plan on using the lens to it’s fullest capabilities.  So this week I want plenty of time to play with my new “baby” and go on a couple of short photo shoots to see the world through this camera’s lens.

List at least of things or events that changed your Life: It could be as simple as a book or meeting a certain person?

  1. Meeting Chris, even when we first met, we knew there was a connection between us.
  2. Reading The Color Purple written by Alice Walker.
  3. Moving Out on My Own the day after my 21st birthday.
  4. Getting deathly ill on March 23, 2001 (see my story).
  5. Meeting my Qigong Master

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?  Last week was finding the camera I ordered and doing a lot of research.  I also bought some clothes that actually has some color and flow to the material.

This week, I pretty much covered what is coming up for me.  Chris has left on a short business trip and will come back home on Wednesday evening.

  1. I have my iPhone camera for quick uploads for blogs, my Canon G15 for taking with me in case I see something and my DSLR Nikon D7000 for the special stuff which I do not often take with me due to the size. You can never have enough camers (and lens) I discovered. Good luck with your new camera. I am a Nikon fan I must say. What a wonderful invention digital photography is. After reading your explanation I realise how little I actually know about photography. I did a course once, but am still a learner.

  2. Wow. That is some cool camera. We want a full report after you’ve had some chances to use it.
Speaking of which, I guess you get asked this all the time–I need to upgrade from my
Sony Cybershot. Can you recommend a good, not too expensive camera for someone who is electronically challenged but would like to take wonderful shots for her blog? There are a couple that regularly go on sale at Best Buy for $500, but I know nothing.
