Share Your World – 2016 Week 21

052316syw_1With your answers, please remember we are in the SYW world and which may not always match our reality.

What is your favorite go to beverage?  Water, coffee, tea, coke, soda (non-alcoholic)

Can you change a car tire?

Are you a listener or talker?

Would you rather have no internet or no cell phone?

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I sincerely hope you enjoy my questions for this week and find the questions interesting enough to play along.   If you ever want me to ask anything specific, please feel free to contact me.  You don’t think a lot about these questions, unless of course it is FUN for you.  Simply dream and just let loose, or you let your alter ego answer if you want.   Have a fabulous week everyone!!

Even though I oftentimes will add photos to my answers, it is not a requirement to participate in Share your World.

Here is the basic format.  I will ask you:

  • To answer three random questions each week.
  • Respond to a fourth item (I will randomly chose from this list)
    • Making a List out of a topic
    • Completing the sentence I start
    • Answering a Would you Rather question
  • Bonus Question is always the same  “What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?”  Because we all need to be reminded that there are many things in our lives to be grateful about.

I will post four different questions each week for you to answer.  There are two ways which you can participate.

  1. Create a SYW  post.  Then post the link to your blog in my comment box or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Share Your World” or “SYW” tag.
  3. Remember to Follow My Blog to get your weekly reminders.

I usually will respond to your entry on your blog, rather than on my page.

What is your favorite go to beverage?  Water, coffee, tea, coke, soda (non-alcoholic)  For me I would have to say just plain old room temperature or hot water.  I do however have my latte each day.

Can you change a car tire?  I know the mechanics of changing a tire.  And changed many on my first car that I had for 18 years, but haven’t needed to change a tire in the last twenty years, so I would say yes for the most part.  But I would call someone to change it for me.

Are you a listener or talker?  Most definitely a listener if I don’t know the people.  If someone really needs to talk, I will always listen.

Would you rather have no internet or no cell phone?  This is a super easy question for me.  My answer is no cell phone.  I don’t even use my cell.  I use it so infrequently that I forget how to use it.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?  Chris made it to and from Minneapolis with easy.  She had a super quick business trip.  She arrived the night before a meeting and left the her meeting ended.  So she can now say she’s been to Minneapolis, but know nothing about the city.  She did say our trees in Oregon are better though.

I did get my camera (Nikon Coolpix P900) and you all have been some of the awesome photos I’ve gotten from it.  Yes, I’m still having a lot of fun and will keep posting them.  This camera is a great overall fun camera and the zoom is out of this world crazy.  \  We were out driving yesterday and I saw our local AmTrak train.  We were driving at 55 mph while I was shooting, and I was able to capture it at three different zoom.  One without a zoom.  I didn’t even realize there was a train.  These photos are unedited.  Train is shown in the yellow circle.  Obviously on this photo I didn’t zoom it.

Here is my second photo with partial zoom. This shot obviously was taken a little further down the road, once I realized there was a train in the background.

And this is the closest I got with my zoom lens while traveling highway speeds.  My guess is that I only used about 2/3 of the zoom capabilities.

  1. I am happy to hear that Chris had a safe business trip and that you’re enjoying your new camera. I hope to have some time this afternoon to catch up on your posts and see more of the photos you’ve captured with it.

        1. Yes, this is a point and shoot. It is real easy to pull out of the box and use “auto” which I do for the most part otherwise. For some of the higher functions of the camera I have bought a book. It only comes in .jpeg and RAW formatting so the post processing isn’t as adaptable. The colors seem bright and clear. Landscape tends to look more green, but for the most part I was taking photos through my car window and that is where the green maybe coming from. I’m totally impressed with it.

          1. sounds great! I might have to look into getting one of those if I ever get back to work! I have some really cool trips planned for late in the year and I’ll need a better zoom. I have the usual 55-210 for my Sony and about the same for my Canon. I prefer to use the Sony since it’s so much lighter and I think it’s much easier to use.

I adore comments! Thanks for stopping by to visit.
