Small country church.
Small country church.

This current series consists of a little bit of this and a little bit of that.

This week’s topic is Architecture.  What types of building appeal to you: Modern Art, Historical,  Colonial,  Gothic, European, Asian,  Commercial,  Industrial?  Take your pick. do you like?  Any building that you like, for any reason is appropriate for this week’s challenge. The thing is to have a lot of fun with this challenge.  Feel free to dig around in your archives for photos if you don’t have anything new you can photograph.

  1. Love your lighthouse and the painted lady 🙂 We have quite of few of the big, restored Victorians around here. I’m going to take a couple of days and try to get some fresh pictures of local architecture. Great choice, Cee!

  2. Just FYI — my pingbacks have stopped working. Again. The Happiness Engineers are working on it, but for the time being, until they get it sorted out, I’m afraid you’ll need to drop a link rather than use a pingback. Sorry about this, especially since I know you just got the problem fixed on your site — and it was just a month or so ago that I fixed it on Serendipity.

  3. Thank you for featuring my “What’s This?” post, Cee 🙂 I love your architecture shots – they really shout “America” to me. You’ve captured some wonderful buildings – the symmetry shot is fascinating 🙂

  4. From the images you posted, I can’t really get a good fix on what type of buildings you like. I had no idea what I liked, either, until I had a slap-my-forehead moment. It’s got to be old wooden, half rotted structures for me. Don’t ask me why. Maybe it’s the history behind each one.

  5. Love the barn 🙂 But the lighthouse is just so wonderful! I don’t know if I have any to contribute this week, but I’m looking forward to the sheet photography challenge (or have I missed that one)?

  6. Thank you for featuring my ‘What is it’ post (it actually was a canoe with a net). Your architecture photos are very inspiring. I love the country church and the light house, but most of all the residence. It is a nicely balanced architecture that somehow makes the house vulnerable. I will have a go at this theme later this week.

  7. As always, great pictures. I really like the emptiness around the lighthouse and the colors on the house. Never would have thought to paint a house those colors. And, of course, old barns are one of my favorite things.
