Whaaaaaaaaat! So many irises and then next to a ten acre farm!!!!! That sounds like HEAVEN to me! There is nothing quite like the scent of an iris – oh my! Can I move in!!!!
You would love the area that live in. I have rose, dahlia, iris, peony, lavender farms all around me. I also have decorative tree and bush farms. Yes I live pretty much in a rural town….just south of Portland, OR.
I think Irises might be my favourite flower – I’d like to live in one! I love to draw them too. The scent of the ones in my garden is heady stuff at the moment, but my flower of the day os the allium as seen at Chelsea Flower Show: https://daffodilwild.wordpress.com/2016/05/30/in-a-vase-at-chelsea/
Thank you Cee – it is such a shame you feel sick around irises – that must be horrid. I’d love to experience a 10 acre garden of them – but you never know that might be too much – although it sounds like heaven to me right now!
Cee, I did a second posting today because although yesterday I only had a shot of the pod of the India Shot plant, today one bloom opened. Some hadn’t seen the flower so thought I’d post it. Telling you here in case you think it is the same shot, but it isn’t. Here is the flower: https://judydykstrabrown.com/2016/05/30/india-shot-bloom-flower-of-the-day-may-30-2016/
Are two flower of the day postings legal so long as they are from the same plant??? Ha.

A combination of each. I have about 30 to 40 different irises in my own garden and I live my an iris farm that has a 10 acre garden display. 😀

Your alliums are gorgeous. I get sick around the scent of iris. I can take a couple, but not a 10 acre garden of them.
