When I was married before. My sister-in-law had a commercial Iris garden. Similar to some of those photos of yours, I presume, taken in Oregon? I love those mass plantings of Iris. One of the most regal of all flowers. Although others might disagree? Choosing instead the Lily. Of course the bearded varieties are not all that Iris are about. For there are many varieties, as I’m sure you’re aware. Somehow the bearded types with their magnificent falls are what the flower is about. Just lovely, thanks for the many you have published. Oh I think bearded iris beat out Lilies any day. Lilies do win out over dutch irises (the smallest I’m aware of). Jamie, I’m glad you like my irises. 😀
