This week’s Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge (CB&W) topic is Steps: indoors or outdoors. Stairs can be glorious and beautiful. Then there are stairs that are small and strictly a means of moving up and down. Did you know that generally stairs are usually considered indoors and steps are usually considered outdoors. I read that once and I don’t remember where I saw it. So let’s find us some steps or stairs for this week. Have a lot of fun with this topic. Sepia tones and selective color are always allowed in this challenge. I just want you to have some fun with your photography.
For a list of upcoming topics, please see the list at below. Be creative and challenge yourself. For a great black and white photo look for contrast or highly textured subjects to photograph.

I like the first picture best of the train. It made me think of an old (very old) TV programme called Casey Jones about a train driver. I can still remember the words of the theme tune.

At first it was the train steps. I can’t resist any part of a train, for some reason. But then I checked out the rest. And though I appreciate some more than others, I can’t really say I have a favorite this week. Apart from numbers one, two, and four!Great job.

I love that elegant curved stairway! Interesting that you mention about our use of the words ‘stairs/steps’ depending on whether they are indoors or out. I was thinking along similar lines … but there is a twist to my tale 😉 Here is my entry for this week’s challenge:

Chris actually took that one. I am standing on the steps. I walked down them, but not up. I think there are something like 150-160 steps there.
