Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge: Steps: indoors or outdoors

060916bw_3Since WordPress pingbacks are not working properly right now, I would recommend you add a COMMENT with your post link to your challenge entries so you will considered for features.

This week’s Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge (CB&W) topic is  Steps:  indoors or outdoors.   Stairs can be glorious and beautiful.  Then there are stairs that are small and strictly a means of moving up and down.  Did you know that generally stairs are usually considered indoors and steps are usually considered outdoors.  I read that once and I don’t remember where I saw it.  So let’s find us some steps or stairs for this week.  Have a lot of fun with this topic.  Sepia tones and selective color are always allowed in this challenge.  I just want you to have some fun with your photography.

For a list of upcoming topics, please see the list at below.  Be creative and challenge yourself.  For a great black and white photo look for contrast or highly textured subjects to photograph.

  1. I haven’t ever entered any of your challenges before. I will have to keep my eye out for the next B&W Challenge as I love taking Car, Motorcycle, Truck photos.

    • My pingbacks are working sporadically. They mostly work, but then some one says their pingback doesn’t work. It’s the strangest thing.

  2. At first it was the train steps. I can’t resist any part of a train, for some reason. But then I checked out the rest. And though I appreciate some more than others, I can’t really say I have a favorite this week. Apart from numbers one, two, and four!Great job.

  3. Love the train steps! Something I wouldn’t normally even think about, which makes it that much more interesting. I do so enjoy the new perspectives I see in this challenge 🙂

    • I don’t know what is going on for sure. Some are working some are not. Maybe I will put a note out so people can double check.

  4. Thank you, Cee, for featuring my submission! My favorite of your shots has got to be of the character and history pounded into the train steps. Love it!
