Share Your World – 2016 Week 24

back2-school2With your answers, please remember we are in the SYW world which may not always match our reality.

What is the most fun thing you did in school?

What is your favorite type of dog?  (can be anything from a specific breed, a stuffed animal or character in a movie)

You are invited to a party that will be attended by many fascinating people you never met.  Would you attend this party if you were to go by yourself?

Complete this sentence:  Never In My Life Have I….

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I sincerely hope you enjoy my questions for this week and find the questions interesting enough to play along.   If you ever want me to ask anything specific, please feel free to contact me.  You don’t think a lot about these questions, unless of course it is FUN for you.  Simply dream and just let loose, or you let your alter ego answer if you want.   Have a fabulous week everyone!!

Even though I oftentimes will add photos to my answers, it is not a requirement to participate in Share your World.

Here is the basic format.  I will ask you:

  • To answer three random questions each week.
  • Respond to a fourth item (I will randomly chose from this list)
    • Making a List out of a topic
    • Completing the sentence I start
    • Answering a Would you Rather question
  • Bonus Question is always the same  “What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?”  Because we all need to be reminded that there are many things in our lives to be grateful about.

I will post four different questions each week for you to answer.  There are two ways which you can participate.

  1. Create a SYW  post.  Then post the link to your blog in my comment box or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Share Your World” or “SYW” tag.
  3. Remember to Follow My Blog to get your weekly reminders.

I usually will respond to your entry on your blog, rather than on my page.

HERE ARE MY ANSWERS

What is the most fun thing you did in school?  After the 5th grade, I took an oceanography summer school course.  That was the absolute most fun class I ever took.  For the last week, the entire class went on a field trip to San Diego and toured the Queen Mary and the Scripts Institute of Oceanography.  I had a blast that summer.

What is your favorite type of dog?  (can be anything from a specific breed, a stuffed animal or character in a movie)

When I was in my twenties I had lived with some roommates and they had a Newfoundland dog.  They are the size of a St Bernard and oh so sweet and gentle.

This not a good photo of a Newfie, but the best I have in my photo library.

But since then I have discovered pugs and simply adore them.  Here is a photo of Miss MacKenzie with her blue halter on playing with other pugs at a pug meet and greet group.

And eventually I will probably only want a dog that looks like these pugs.

You are invited to a party that will be attended by many fascinating people you never met.  Would you attend this party if you were to go by yourself?  Most likely I would not attend the party, especially since I didn’t need to be there anyway.

Complete this sentence:  Never In My Life Have I…. gone to a concert of any kind.   I really wanted to attend one when I was in my late teens, but never did.  Now to get a seat I would like and a performer I would like to see would be outrageous expensive for only a couple hours of entertainment.  I did see and episode of the  The Tony Randall show (late 1970s) filmed live.  Can you tell I lived in Southern California when I was in school.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?  Last week was fun playing around with our NutriBullet.  I’ll write a review on it tomorrow.  It will be a fun review too.  This week I have a qigong appointment and just enjoy the summer otherwise.  Hopefully get a little more outdoor time.

  1. The Mister has only been to two concerts in his life, but he’s probably played more than 100. I was a frequent concert goer in my youth, but now, I’m really, really picky about the performer and the venue.

  2. I was a music major in college, so attending concerts was a requirement, though it was all classical music. I haven’t been to a lo tof concert, but I’ve been to a few and enjoyed them. It’s not too late 🙂 There are lots of things we’ll never do, but that’s one thing you still could do, if you really want to.

  3. Your summer of oceanography sounds like a lot of fun! I lived in a small logging town, far from the ocean so I never got to do anything like that. I would have loved it! I am glad you are enjoying your Nutribullet and look forward to your review. I’m saving up for one!

  5. The Oceanography course would have been very interesting and I would love to see the Queen Mary. I’ve been to a lot of concerts in the past but now there are not so many people I’d pay a lot of money to see and if I can’t have a seat I’m not going. I can’t stand up for hours and was always too short to see over people’s heads anyway. Glad I did it when I was young and concerts were cheaper-Elton John for $5 was a good deal in 1972.
