We are already halfway through the alphabet. Here is this weeks 26 Weeks Letter Challenge and this week the topic if Letter O. These first two are some of my favorite “O’s” that I have taken.

Octopus tree in Canby, Oregon.

One of my all time favorite dahlia, Oregon Reign. I love the purple outline on the petals.

This is a new photo I took a week ago of an Osprey. I wouldn’t be surprised if it becomes one of my all time favorite photos.

Congratulations on that amazing osprey shot! I don’t think I’ve ever seen one’s face and eye so clearly before.

I almost took the cheaters way out and just put my 3 favorites photo of Oregon. But I didn’t.

Very nice pics, the Dahliya looks like a painting – a hand made drawing. Excellent find and capture.

On a good year, it is simply breathtaking. A number of the dahlias get to be 4-6 feet (two meters) high. And there are the tiny ones too. This goes on for like 40 acres. And it’s all walkable on their paths. They also have test gardens for future varieties and an area where they have maybe 100 or more different varieties on display in one rather small area.

These are all wonderful but that tree just takes my breath away.

Aren’t they just the coolest tree. It really is just one tree. And this one they separated the trunks. Normally they just group up straight. But when people train their trees early on like this … they are called octopus trees.

Love the three of them , but , photographically speaking I would vote the hawk, while my favorite theme is the tree ….

We found some ‘tame’ osprey who did not fly when they heard us approach. Even though their nests are up so high, the do not like us walking on their grounds. Beautiful birds they are, though.
