Share Your World – 2016 Week 26

broken_ankleWith your answers, please remember we are in the SYW world which may not always match our reality.

What’s your most memorable (good or bad) airplane flight?

How many bones, if any, have you broken?

If you had your own talk show, who would your first three guests be? (guest can be dead, alive, famous or someone you just know)

Make a Currently List: What are you reading, watching, listening to, eating, needing, wanting, and missing right now?

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I sincerely hope you enjoy my questions for this week and find the questions interesting enough to play along.   If you ever want me to ask anything specific, please feel free to contact me.  You don’t think a lot about these questions, unless of course it is FUN for you.  Simply dream and just let loose, or you let your alter ego answer if you want.   Have a fabulous week everyone!!

Even though I oftentimes will add photos to my answers, it is not a requirement to participate in Share your World.

Here is the basic format.  I will ask you:

  • To answer three random questions each week.
  • Respond to a fourth item (I will randomly chose from this list)
    • Making a List out of a topic
    • Completing the sentence I start
    • Answering a Would you Rather question
  • Bonus Question is always the same  “What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?”  Because we all need to be reminded that there are many things in our lives to be grateful about.

I will post four different questions each week for you to answer.  There are two ways which you can participate.

  1. Create a SYW  post.  Then post the link to your blog in my comment box or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Share Your World” or “SYW” tag.
  3. Remember to Follow My Blog to get your weekly reminders.

I usually will respond to your entry on your blog, rather than on my page.

HERE ARE MY ANSWERS

What’s your most memorable (good or bad) airplane flight?  When I was in my early twenties I actually flew quite a lot.  I have plenty of memorable ones.  The flight with the best memories is the one time I flew on a 747.  My original flight from Los Angeles to Denver got cancelled due to mechanical problems.  I was flying alone and my car was parked at the airport, so I didn’t really care my flight was cancelled or delayed.  Everyone was upset the flight was cancelled.  There was another passenger who said lets get coffee.  He was as ambivalent as I was about our flight being cancelled.

We were put on plane within a hour or so that was coming from Hawaii and flying on to other places.  So we boarded the plane and I sat with my new friend.  We were way in the back by the flight attendant station.  That flight normally was 2-1/2 hours long.  We were only in the air about an hour and half and the flight attendants around us started to put everything away.  The pilot said that we had extremely strong tail winds and we were getting ready to land in Denver.  As we landed the flight attendants sat near us and said they’ve never been on such a fast and smooth flight over the Rocky Mountains.  We arrived in Denver with no problems.  I grabbed my carry on luggage and drove home.

How many bones, if any, have you broken?  I broke two bones in my left foot.  I fell on ice in a huge parking lot when I was in my twenties.  I lived in a third floor apartment, no elevator.  I must have looked pretty funny trying crutches and walking up the outdoor stairs.  I managed though.  I healed fast and my cast was off in a month.  Should have been closer to two months.

If you had your own talk show, who would your first three guests be? (guest can be dead, alive, famous or someone you just know)  This question always fascinates me.  I really have no clue who I would invite.  My Qigong Master that is for sure, Liu He.  Her family has 15 generations of being qigong masters and physicians.  She is the female to attain a master level.  Traditionally, it is only men.  My 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Rose Forest.  I like how she taught.  I learned so much and had fun in her class.  We did everything from plays, studied Japan, Field trips, and she even read to us.  We were always doing something different.  She honored everyone in class.  And the third person would be the most influential person in my life, Chris.

  • I really don’t read a lot.  I books on both of my cameras, I want to read more of.
  • We are binge watching, Parenthood with Lauren Graham.  We will probably watch The Foster’s next.  We watched the first couple episodes and enjoyed that.  Major Crimes season has just begun and we are watching that too.
  • I really don’t listen much to music.  When I do it is usually soft rock of the early 70s or folk music from the late 60s and 70s.  I think I just aged myself.
  • I’m still enjoying consuming my fresh fruit and veggie shakes.
  • I really don’t need or particularly anything right now.  I’m happy.  I would accept a new SUV though.
  • What am I missing.  I have no clue.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?   I’m grateful that last week is over.  It was a weird week.  I don’t know how much the full moon and solstice had to do with it.  But I know a lot of people had weird things happen to them for a couple of days.  I did end up with a good swim this week and Chris and I started to clean up and reorganize our kitchen since we are eating differently.  We also had a good dinner with some friends who were in town visiting from out of state.  We had a good time.  So the week ended up strong.  This week will be a little on the hot side, so Im assuming it will be fairly mellow for me.  Maybe I can get some of my reading done and more of the kitchen.

  3. I love Major Crimes! I always wait until I can watch the entire season my speed, ideally with the first episode of the new season out already as I don’t like cliff hangers to last too long 😉

  4. I’m so sorry about your broken foot and the lack of an elevator. That must have been so hard.

Our girls were fast healers from broken bones, too. Our oldest daughter broke her radius and ulna clear through, right at the what I think they called a “growth plate”. It was healed and she was out of the cast in three weeks. I had never, ever heard of a broken bone healing so quickly. It happened when the kids were playing ball. The basketball hit her at her fingertips with apparently a pretty good impact and just snapped her bones right in two.

Thanks for another great writing opportunity. 🙂 Have a blessed weekend.

      1. I don’t know if her doctors were amazed or not, but I sure was! You always hear about breaks taking at least 6 weeks to heal. I guess this just proves some folks heal a whole lot quicker than others. Have a blessed weekend. 🙂
