My First Dahlia Buds of the Year

I just took these photos a couple of minutes ago in my backyard.

  1. Dahlias are such photogenic flowers. Ours are only about 4 inches up from the ground at this point. Will be weeks till they start blooming. Beautiful shots.

  2. Never thought of photographing the buds – these are lovely. My Bishop of Llandaff are no where near this stage!

  3. Your dahlias are beautiful at every stage. Hard to find time to post when I’m traveling and visiting so many people, so hope you don’t mind that I put the link to my July 10 flowers here on this page. i have to sneak in time where I can find it.

  4. I love the photos, the second in particular had a baby feeling to it. Somehow you anthropomorphized a flower so it gave me a visceral maternal reaction.

Award Free Blog

I appreciate you thinking of me for an award. I have had a lot of fun with awards in the past. I think awards are a fantastic tool to help out people who are just starting their blogging adventure. I've been here awhile now.

My best award is that you somehow still come to visit me when ever you get a chance. It's a thrill and joy to share my photography and life with all of you. Thanks.
