These pictures show how much hands can tell us. I don’t feel I need to see the faces to get the feel of the person and what they are doing.

Helen, such a sweet comment. I love hands. Obviously.

I feel like that first one really tells a story.

There is a great story behind the first one. It was a 90 year old woman who wanted to get back on a horse after 45 years. I was fortunate to be there to photograph it.

The black and white really accentuates to hands of the guitarist. You also get a good look at the professional guitarist’s long right hand fingernails used to pick the strings. This is normal for classical guitarists.

You have a good eye on the guitarist. Do you play? I would not have caught it as a thing of necessity. 😀

Those are lovely! Some of my favorite photos are of hands. That may sound silly, but they tell such stories. There’s one hanging in our local coffee shop, taken by a local photographer. It’s a farmer’s work-hardened, soiled hands holding an egg. It’s one of my favorites.

Hands do tell a lot about a person and how they use their hands. Thanks for commenting.
