Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge: Older than 50 Years

072116bw_1 This week’s Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge (CB&W) topic is Older than 50 Years.  This week we get to look to the past.  I only want to see photos of things that are 50 years old or older.  Old building, cars, bridges, trees, relics, rusty and crusty items are always allowed as long as I can still tell what it was.  Have a lot of fun with this topic.  Sepia tones and selective color are always allowed in this challenge.  I just want you to have some fun with your photography.

For a list of upcoming topics, please see the list at below.  Be creative and challenge yourself.  For a great black and white photo look for contrast or highly textured subjects to photograph.

  1. Love your photos. Made me laugh at first when I saw the requirements because I was thinking well I’m older than 50 years and I’m sepia toned!!! LOL!! 😀 🙂

    • You are too funny. There are people who add themselves or friends in as being over 50. We both qualify on that, but you have the sepia tones I don’t. 😀

  2. Thank you for featuring WoollyMuses this week , Cee. The old truck reminds me of many hours carting hay in Dad’s truck of similar vintage…but it was just the best when he bought it. Not so good when it stalled in hot weather.

  3. I’m enjoying your photographs of trains very much, Cee. There are no trains here where I live. There is one about 2 hours from here.
Thanks for posting them for my enjoyment. Enjoy my selection … 😎

  5. Everyone in the Stats seems to have an old rusting car somewhere, usually in the garden. Love the photo. Trains like that we only find in the transport museum today. Wonderful photographic memories shown there.

    • There are a couple of small outdoor museums that have old steam engines. Although the one I have pictured here actually is still in use and runs tourists on part of the Oregon Coast.

  6. I love all of these photos so much! With the editing you did, they look like old photos, only sharper and less faded. Well done!
