Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge: Quest

Here is my entry for this week’s Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge with the topic of Quest.

While on my blogging break I went to visit my sister, Beth, and her husband John who live in Idaho Falls, Idaho.  We hadn’t seen each other in ages and they’ve never met Chris.  One day Beth took me for a drive so we could just talk.  We actually ended up in the State of Wyoming before we turned around.  We were on a quest to reunite with each other and talk.  Beth showed me some beautiful scenery.

Here is a photo that Beth took (using my camera).  I left the mirror and pole in the right side on purpose.  I think it gives a better perspective of landscape.  The river is the Snake River.

The next two photos I took.  This first one is of some of the autumn color that was just starting to appear in early September.  I also had to grab a photo of the 6 foot snow stake.  This part of Idaho gets some pretty deep snow and the elevation was at least 7,000 above sea level.

This last photo is of Palisades Reservoir which has lost a lot of water over the years.  I like the layers it has created.  The white square in the upper portion of the photo is where the boat docks used to be.

Here is a photo of Beth and I.  Chris took the photo and Beth is in middle.

  1. It sound like you had a wonderful reunion with friends. Ah, September, a foretaste of autumn with trees just beginning to turn. Wow! The snow stake; I can’t imagine that much snow. 😬
