Here is my entry for:
These photos were taken at the Lone Fir Pioneer Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
Trees I believe a protect energy force. People hug trees, sit under trees for shelter from weather. They give homes to animals and insects. Trees are a symbol of great strength.
I love the old trees in this cemetery. They have such character. I know a lot of people think that cemeteries are haunted. After these photos, you can judge for yourself.

These are awesome. Love the protective trees in the last image. So curious how they grew like that.

There were planted like that probably when the grave was first added … that would be my guess.

Well I considered that too. But still interesting to think about why exactly.

Maybe vandals broke the stones. The trees couldn’t fight against those, unfortunately. This looks like a great cemetery! I find cemeteries to be very peaceful places, usually. It is the living that sometimes are the problem, not the dead.
For your first one, I think “yawner” works…it made me yawn when I saw its mouth open. haha That is a great tree and photo, as are all of them. It looks like that cemetery has some wonderful old “name rocks”. 🙂
Have a blessed day!

Perhaps the roots were what knocked overthe stones. Perhaps it was … personal 🙂 Great pictures, especially the last one!

Beautiful post Cee 🙂
I think the trees support and help us best possible. They are not able to run to catch bad souls.
