It is time of the month for Stacy at Visual Venturing, One Photo Focus Challenge.
This month photo was submitted by Julz Powell — Julie Powell Photography. Julz is a super great photographer who happens to do some still life photography. Which you all know is so not my expertise. So this will be a fun exercise in editing for me.
After making a huge crop to get the flower and vase placed where I want it in the photo, I did all my post-processing in Adobe Bridge.
- I changed the white cloth in the background to a deep purple which I think shoes off he pretty rose.
- I lightened the green leaves to add a little contrast to the darker colors and bring out the pink rose.
- Then I made the chair a darker shade withe a little blue added to make the wood look a little richer.
I hope you enjoy my end result.

It is fun, and amazing, to see all the different ways that people edit the same picture. I never would have thought to change the color of the background cloth.

Obviously that was easy for me. I do adore how we all see the same thing differently. That is one thing that I adore with photography.

It’s so fun isn’t it. I’m addicted to this challenge both for doing the editing and also to see what everyone else does.
