Share Your World – 2016 Week 50

Little girl smelling petunias. I just think she is priceless.

What is your favorite smell? What memory does it remind you of?

What type of pet do you have or want to have?

Are you usually late, early, or right on time?

For recharging, would you rather meditate, swim, walk, listen to music, write, read, yoga, qigong other?

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I sincerely hope you enjoy my questions for this week and find the questions interesting enough to play along.   If you ever want me to ask anything specific, please feel free to contact me.  You don’t think a lot about these questions, unless of course it is FUN for you.  Simply dream and just let loose, or you let your alter ego answer if you want.   Have a fabulous week everyone!!

Even though I oftentimes will add photos to my answers, it is not a requirement to participate in Share your World.

Here is the basic format.  I will ask you:

  • To answer fours questions each week.
  • Bonus Question is always the same “What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?”  Because we all need to be reminded that there are many things in our lives to be grateful about.

If you adore challenges as much as I do, please check out WordPress’s Blog Event Listing for other challenges.

I will post four different questions each week for you to answer.  There are two ways which you can participate.

  1. Create a SYW  post.  Then post the link to your blog in my comment box or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Share Your World” or “SYW” tag.
  3. Remember to Follow My Blog to get your weekly reminders.

I usually will respond to your entry on your blog, rather than on my page.

HERE ARE MY ANSWERS

That is me sawing firewood we had collected. Photo taken early 1990s.

What is your favorite smell? What memory does it remind you of?  I know I used to love the smell of campfires.  When Chris and I used to camp our jackets would smell like campfires and I loved the scent.

What type of pet do you have or want to have?  Currently we have a pug and two orange tabby cats and the keep our hands full.

Are you usually late, early, or right on time? Oregon for the most part is real laid back when it comes to gatherings.  I tend to be early because that is just my nature.  If I am way to early I will park somewhere and wait.  Then appear at an appropriate time.  If I need to be in Portland, I am usually way early because I allow for traffic problems.

For recharging, would you rather meditate, swim, walk, listen to music, write, read, yoga, qigong other?  I tend to meditate or do some sort of gentle qigong  which is slow movement exercise like yoga or tai chi.

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

Update on my brother-in-law John.  He’s been home from the hospital for over a week and is doing real well.  This week he and Beth will be celebrating their 37th wedding anniversary.

Last week the weather was horrible, so I stayed home for the most part.  Since photo shoots were out, I started a new blog, Cee’s Showcase of Photography.  It will be a blog of just my better photos.  I am planning on adding a photo a day.

Qi (energy) hugs

Cee

  1. Lovely questions this week. Woodsmoke is a favourite of mine, so many of us have wood burning stoves now and the smell as you walk out in winter is comforting. I miss my cocker spaniel so much, I would love another. I am an early person especially if travel is involved. For relaxing, some easy knitting is perfect. Grateful this week for my sons this week, now they are grown up and knowledgeable in their chosen jobs, they give good advice!

    1. For qigong you can search for Master Liu He on Youtube to get some qigong routines. She runs the Ling Gui International School of Healing Qigong. She is my teacher and healer her website is http://www.Linggui.org
What type of Christmas questions would you like to see? I don’t ask specific Christmas questions normally, because my readers don’t all celebrate Christian Holidays. Maybe there is some way I can make them more generic.

      1. Thank you Cee for the qigong info. I found it in Finland! Actually they teach it in the same building where my son used to go for jujitsu. I’ve seen the teacher around but he’s a smoker!! For the Christmas questions, maybe they could be something generic about the holidays if not specifically Christmas related. Like what do you like best about this season or what kind of treats or songs or something like that! 🙂

  3. Good questions. When we have to go into Boston, we are usually early. Traffic can be really bad and there’s no way to know what you’ll bump into. So we leave a lot of extra time. And a book to read while we wait. Social events are laid back, so being a little late is usually better than being early — unless it’s for dinner or a show or something with an actual “time.” We don’t do much social scheduling. Most scheduled activity is medical 🙂

  4. I love the smell of burning wood… we have a woodstove here and it is always nice to smell that wood burning. That’s great news about your BIL, I hope his health continues to improve, and good luck with the new blog! I look forward to seeing all of your photographs 🙂 Have a great week, Cee!

  5. Oh, I love the smell of campfires. And grilling out. They’re both nice smoky smells that make me think of my younger days (well, that and great dinners)…

ps – BrightSide laughed at my saying I was a “right on time”-er. Flat out laughed. Rude!! 😉
