Share Your World – January 9, 2017

0c9d9e3130b50f9478d3ba433e1c312d
Most of us need a wig to get this wild hair. Photo found per google search.

If you lost a bet and had to dye your hair a color of the rainbow for a week, what color would it be?

If you could choose one word to focus on for 2017, what would it be?

What was one thing you learned last year that you added to your life?

If life was ‘just a bowl of cherries’… which fruit other than a cherry would you be..?

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I sincerely hope you enjoy my questions for this week and find the questions interesting enough to play along.   If you ever want me to ask anything specific, please feel free to contact me.  You don’t think a lot about these questions, unless of course it is FUN for you.  Simply dream and just let loose, or you let your alter ego answer if you want.   Have a fabulous week everyone!!

Even though I oftentimes will add photos to my answers, it is not a requirement to participate in Share your World.

Here is the basic format.  I will ask you:

  • To answer fours questions each week.
  • Bonus Question is always the same “What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?”  Because we all need to be reminded that there are many things in our lives to be grateful about.

If you adore challenges as much as I do, please check out WordPress’s Blog Event Listing for other challenges.

I will post four different questions each week for you to answer.  There are two ways which you can participate.

  1. Create a SYW  post.  Then post the link to your blog in my comment box or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Share Your World” or “SYW” tag.
  3. Remember to Follow My Blog to get your weekly reminders.

I usually will respond to your entry on your blog, rather than on my page.

HERE ARE MY ANSWERS

If you lost a bet and had to dye your hair a color of the rainbow for a week, what color would it be?  I think I would purposely lose the bet and I would go for a wild rainbow.  It would be cool.

If you could choose one word to focus on for 2017, what would it be?  I really don’t know.  I’ve thought a lot about a word for this year and I come up blank.  The one thing I really want try and change my attitude is my self-worth regarding my body.  I judge myself so harshly I think I hold myself back.  If anyone has a one word to two word response that would be helpful.

What was one thing you learned last year that you added to your life? The ability to dream again.  We have a five year plan for retirement.  It had been many years I was so sick dreaming about the future was impossible.

010917gojiIf life was ‘just a bowl of cherries’… which fruit other than a cherry would you be..?  Goji Berries and pumpkin seeds.  They are good in anything.  I need to make a mixture for myself right now.

Qi (energy) hugs

  1. I suggest the word “gentle”. You already know that you deserve to be more gentle with yourself and your body for getting you through it all to the stage when it’s feasible to dream again. Wishing you an excellent year. As for me, my only excuse for gaining weight is that world hunger is upon us. :p

  2. I saw the picture of the goji berries and pumpkin seeds on FB and wondered what they were. Now I know 🙂

Actually, this got me to thinking about dying my hair. I’ve been very bored with it lately. Maybe it’s time to do something wild and crazy! Thanks!

  3. I hadn’t read your responses before posting, but here’s a word for your second question: Acceptance. Once you accept your body, thereby losing all judgment about it, maybe that’ll achieve your goal?

    I don’t know, just a thought! 🙂

  4. The two words that popped into my mind when I read your request for one or two word suggestions was “I’m enough”. We have to get to a point of believing that we are enough, good enough, regardless of what anyone else thinks. Heavenly Father showed our worth when He sent His son to cover our sins. Beyond that, we have to be good enough in our own eyes. Other folks aren’t living in our bodies; it isn’t their place to judge our “enough-ness”. ALL of us, regardless of our height, our weight, our talents, our beauty, or our intelligence, are exactly enough to be who we are meant to be.

    Have a blessed week.

  6. Thanks for this Cee, I thoroughly enjoyed answering your questions and will be back. I’ve often seen other Share Your World posts but haven’t participated until now. I’ve looked at a few others too and will be following more blogs for sure.

  7. I enjoyed the questions this week. I’ve never eaten goji berries. Maybe I’ll have to try these if they don’t interfere with other supplements and medicines. Dreams are something I don’t lack, but dreams about my future, fun dreams regarding travel, vacations come harder to me.

As for your concerns about your body, there are just so many parts of a person’s body. I think everyone has parts of their body which don’t work quite right, or parts compared to other bodies that may seem lacking, but on the other hand I think we all have parts which do work extremely well and parts which compared to other bodies are not lacking at all. I’m sure that people who know you love the real you, the inner you.

    1. Pat what a sweet thing to say. You definitely made me smile. 😀 Goji berries comes dried like raisins. They have a little tang to them and aren’t nearly as sweet as raisins.

  8. As I was reading your answers and thinking that you don’t need to lose a bet to have some fun with your hair. If you want a rainbow, go for it. The best part is that regardless of whatever you choose to do, it will be temporary .. or even in the case of hair dye, it can be easily undone 😉
