Here is my entry for this week’s Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge with the topic of Repurpose. ENJOY.
This drum we bought from Metal Sculptor Ben Dye. The drum I photographed below was originally a standard USA propane tank.
Ben Dye basically does huge public metal art sculptures. He says “Public art can be described as a community’s self-expression. Just as we adorn our personal living spaces as a means of self-expression, so too can public art be used to express the uniqueness and shared values of our communities.”
He is a gentle man and you will oftentimes get to meet his pet goats and pig as you wonder his studio and outdoor gallery.

He actually had a weather vane we really liked and he made the stand especially for us. That put big smiles on our faces.

My (our) drum is the first thing I thought of. Actually Ben works strictly with recycled metals.

Great entry, Cee!!!! Like Andy, never seen a drum like this before .. but on the other hand, I think there is many things that can be used as drum. Beautiful piece of art. Love the color.
