Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge: Against the Odds

Here is my entry for this week’s Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge with the topic of Against the Odds.  ENJOY.

If you look up at the top center, you will notice a small glider. People buy them from the store on site at the Astoria Column to throw from the down from the top.

041114 Memorial -astoria column (5)In the photo above, if you look up at the top center, you will notice a small glider. People buy them from the store on site at the Astoria Column to throw  down to the ground from the top.  Photo to the right is a black and white version of the tower.

The left photo below is of the rainbow I captured yesterday.  I took these photos 2 seconds apart.  There is no reason for the rainbow to exist, but it does.  There has been no editing on either photo, they are straight from my camera.  I have no idea how that rainbow appeared.  I was sure delighted by it though.

Photographed with my

  1. Love the glider. The rainbow is formed by ice crystals or water droplets in the atmosphere. That would explain the how. But why, as there doesn’t seem to be much sun?
