De Monte Y Mar’s Tuesday of Texture Challenge: Week 9 of 2017
Dutch Goes the Photo’s Tuesday Photo Challenge – Structure
I adore the giant lily pads. They can be up to 4 feet in diameter. They also can hold a child that weighs 40 pounds without breaking. They grow each year from a tiny seed. They are an amazing plant.
This first photo is the bottom of a giant lily pad. s
This photo is a collage of it’s blooms and front side.

That photo of a lily pad was just superb. I wish I had it on my wall!

Whoa! That’s incredible. Hmm …. I just had an idea for a photo shoot. But first I have to find some large lily pads and someone willing to let me model a small child.

At the nursery they do have photos of children standing on them.

I had no idea lily pads were that strong! And have also never lifted them up to see underneath, that is an impressive vein system. Learned something new this week, thanks for sharing in Tuesdays of Texture Cee! Have a great weekend.

I would never have thought of this as structure (although it is) until I saw your photo. Thanks.

I know, I know. I keep changing my mind, but I promise this shot of the back of the water lily pad will remain my all time favorite. i’ve seen it before and hope you use it in your “behind” prompt as well as it is the first one I thought of when I saw upcoming prompts..The others that go with it are wonderful as well.

Actually it was one of my first thoughts too. You think I could use it again in a week or so? I could always switch it to black and white, but I don’t think it will carry the same drama.

Thanks for giving us an alternative view. I didn’t have any idea of what might be underneath a lily pad. You’ve opened my eyes! Gorgeous.
