Share Your World – March 27, 2017

Does your first or middle name have any significance (or were you named after another family member)?

Music or silence while working?

If you had a special place for your three most special possessions (not including photos, electronics, people or animals), what would they be?

The Never List: What are things you know you never will do?

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

Even though I oftentimes will add photos to my answers, it is not a requirement to participate in Share your World.

I will post four different questions each week for you to answer.  There are two ways which you can participate.

  1. Create a SYW  post.  Then post the link to your blog in my comment box or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Share Your World” or “SYW” tag.
  3. Remember to Follow My Blog to get your weekly reminders.

I usually will respond to your entry on your blog, rather than on my page.

HERE ARE MY ANSWERS

Does your first or middle name have any significance (or were you named after another family member)?  Many years ago, I changed my name so I am in a unique position to say I named myself.  Christine simply because I adore that name.  I use Cee which is extremely short for Christine.  Ruth is my middle name and Neuner is my last name.  The name of my maternal grandmother (last name was her maiden name).

Music or silence while working?  Since I don’t work, I consider my blogging time “work”.  And for that I usually have silence.

If you had a special place for your three most special possessions (not including photos, electronics, people or animals), what would they be?  I am not a person to hold on to possessions.  I’m assuming electronics covers my camera and supplies.  If not that is an obvious choice.  My NutriBullet would be one, my waffle maker and maybe my desk.  Even though it is totally filled with cameras and computers.

The Never List: What are things things you know you never will do?

  • Bungee Jump
  • See a professional boxing match
  • See a professional hockey game
  • Spend time with crocodiles or alligators
  • Go to New Orleans – I’m not a social or party person
  • Take a cruise on one of the big cruise ships –  I would a small one though

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

Last week was not nearly as magical as the previous week’s.  The weather was much closer to normal spring weather for Oregon.  Rain, cloudy and some sun.  The flowers and trees are starting to bloom.  Hopefully this week I will get out and take some photos.

Qi (energy) hugs

Cee

  1. I viewed the music/silence while working as work being what I do around the house and the yard too – because I sure don’t consider housework as pleasure! Truth is, no matter where I am or what I’m doing, I’d normally choose silence.

  2. I was named after “Mother Teresa” ha! I highly doubt that…I have no idea who I was named after…and I love to work to music…get’s the grove going! 😉

  3. If you want to stay away from alligators, Gulf Coast Texas is not the place. We have had a few come visit in town. The river runs right through the town so, that is easy enough. Back when we could move much quicker, we would go hiking at the state park that has lots of them. We aren’t that fast anymore. You can see my answers at Random Thoughts and Observations. . Have a great week.

  4. I look forward to seeing more of your flower photos, Cee. I guess that David and I could safely say that blogging has become our work, too. We spend a lot of time reading and writing these days. I hope that this will be a magical week for you. 🙂

Here is my post for this week: Share Your World.

    Have a blessed week!

  6. I get the bungee jump and boxing match……….I personally would love to visit New Orleans, although I am not a people person, not a party person either, but I am sure it would be exciting to watch from a balcony. I’ve been with crocs, quite interesting actually, scary to feed too! here is my post for this week https://juliepowell2014.wordpress.com/2017/03/28/share-your-world-28th-march-2017/

  7. It looks like we agree on scary activities, violent sports and silence. Maybe that is an age thing, liking our peace and quiet. I have to admit that I would rather like to see New Orleans though, not for the partying but for the history.

  8. New Orleans is so much fun! I think I like the busy-ness of it along with the fact that is a ‘walk around’ place as opposed to a ‘drive around’ place. I could get lost walking all over and taking pictures. I am with you on NO to cruises and bungee jumping, though!

  9. Nice “Never List”, Cee, I like it. Just one thing, perhaps you might want to visit New Orleans. We have visited several times, nothing social or partying for us. We went to enjoy the French in U.S. culture. The cemetery is great, a National Park, with free walking tours. It was featured in “Easy Rider” with Peter Fonda. The Audubon Park and Zoo is just great, ride a street car there. The Cajun food and the seafood are to die for. I had my first Oyster Poboy there. Also the Beignets (fried donuts with no hole) are world renown, eat in the open air with coffee. Tulane University too. It’s a fun place to visit, a really pleasant down town area.
This isn’t near half of the fun and cultural stuff but why don’t you Google “New Orleans” for more.

  10. Great questions once again and I enjoyed reading your answers. I find it very interesting that you changed your name. And in regards to your Never List: I totally agree with Bungee Jumping and I would list jumping out of a plane to that list too. I’ve been very close to crocodiles. But I would also not enjoy going on a cruise. But I’m not sure if I would put all of them on a Never List. I said to my husband that I would never do bungee jumping or parachute. But he then asked me what I would do if I would be part of “The Amazing Race” or if my life would depend on it… So there we go…

  11. Answers: Does your first or middle name have any significance (or were you named after another family member)? My current name was one I chose when coming to Israel. I have no middle name.

Music or silence while working? Mostly music, but sometimes I want silence to hear my thoughts.

If you had a special place for your three most special possessions (not including photos, electronics, people or animals), what would they be? Jewelry: my anniversary set; my gold mesh earrings; the replacement for my lost wedding ring

The Never List: What are things you know you never will do? Intentionally hurt my children, or anyone else if it’s not in protection of self or others. Otherwise, it’s all open. 🙂

Optional Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up? Grateful for learning (again) that I must be ever vigilant in not physically overdoing; and looking forward to a week less filled with fear.

I hope it’s okay I put this here. Not up to a blog post.

  12. Been to NOLA – interesting, but to tourist thing was a bit over the top. GREAT food, so it made up for it. I didn’t found the city noisy and I wasn’t at one party … only to tourist orientated. Cee … I really like it. I have always wondered if it was your given name … now I know. Even if it isn’t on my list … I wouldn’t do Bungee Jump.
