Mount Hood Simple Painting

Jeanette over at Lunanista has been doing a real fun series of simple paintings. She has even got me thinking I could start to paint or draw. I love the fact she is using an old dictionary as paper. Anyhow, she has painted on of my photos I have on my Cee’s Showcase of Photography blog.

If you don’t know Jeannette already, you should take a look around her blog.  She is so very talented.

Thanks to Cee for the photo that inspired this painting! Here are links to both of her photography sites. She has provided a lot of inspiration for my art and encouraged my photography as well. Thanks Cee!

Mount Hood

Her photo of Mount Hood reminded me of the simple landscapes I have been painting in my Simple Paintings series. The others are all from this book.

I am so happy to be able to apply what I have learned from this book into my painting so easily!

I hope you have a beautiful day.

  1. Oh no! Old dictionaries are very valuable for the likes of me! What a shame! 😦 There must be some other material to paint on.

      1. There are books and books. But old dictionary won’t ever be reprinted these days, because they wouldn’t sell. Users use online dictionaries. I often stay at the translators’ house where they collect all old dictionaries they can lay hands on.
