Share Your World – April 24, 2017

Wanting something to quench your thirst, what would you drink?

Complete this sentence:  Never In My Life Have I….

If you could be given any gift what would it be?

What do you do if you can’t sleep at night? Do you count sheep, toss and turn, or get up and try to do something productive?

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

Even though I oftentimes will add photos to my answers, it is not a requirement to participate in Share your World.

I will post four different questions each week for you to answer.  There are two ways which you can participate.

  1. Create a SYW  post.  Then post the link to your blog in my comment box or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Share Your World” or “SYW” tag.
  3. Remember to Follow My Blog to get your weekly reminders.

I usually will respond to your entry on your blog, rather than on my page.

HERE ARE MY ANSWERS

Wanting something to quench your thirst, what would you drink?  I would say water without ice is my go to drink.  Although I just started to drink Q Tonic Water and that would work too.

Complete this sentence:  Never In My Life Have I…. been able to see an active volcano.  And by active I mean something like the volcano in Hawaii where I could see lava and walk in old lava tunnels.  I think a helicopter ride would be wonderful fun too.

If you could be given any gift what would it be?  I am usually not one to ask for money but given that Chris and I are getting older, I would want money for land and small house, new vehicle that can pull a small trailer for traveling.  I would also want enough spreading around money.  I would love to be able to give money or things to people who could use a hand.  Chris and I always give to people we knew who just needed a little extra help.  Once we paid for Cable TV for someone who had a lot of medical bills because their daughter had muscular dystrophy and TV was great entertainment for their family.

What do you do if you can’t sleep at night? Do you count sheep, toss and turn, or get up and try to do something productive?  I sometimes have trouble settling down at night.  Chris suggested one night that I take a few deep breaths.  Breathe in  through the nose and out through the mouth.  After three or four breaths I tend to fall asleep easily.  Although we do have a rule, if we are not asleep in an hour, it is okay to get and do something.  Rarely do I have to resort to getting up.

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

Last week I was able to get to the tulip field a couple of times.  Everything from a perfect spring day, to rain and hail.  I also had a wonderful qigong class on Saturday.  It is at least staying fairly warm during the days.  Trees are blooming nicely and my iris are starting to get tall.  My favorite time of year.

Next week more of the same please.  It was a nice week.

Qi (energy) hugs

Cee

  2. I like that you … wish money, because most of us do … deep inside. Glad that you time too with tulips and I’m sure that see an active volcano is more than a new year firework, but I think I would be scared and a helicopter flight over it … I was terrified when I flew over Niagra Falls. I think I would stay at a safe distance. *laugh.

  3. I always keep singles in my car to give to people on the street. But one time I was out shooting and someone came up to me giving me his entire life’s story. I only had a 20 dollar bill on me so what could I do? I gave it to him saying “don’t you dare tell my wife”. But she would have done the same!

  4. I think we all want security as we grow older and although they say money does not buy happiness it does buy security and that’s important. It is nice to be able to help others too. I think it was lovely that you and Chris were able to help someone in that way.

  5. Your questions are great as usual. I’ve never heard of the beverage you mention in your answers, but it sounds good to me. I like tart flavors. I think your breathe in/ breathe out idea is genius. Could work for other stressful situations, too. Neat-o.
