Thursday’s Special: Pick a Word In May – Y2

Here is my entry for Paula’s (Lost In Translation blog) Thursday Special challenge.  This week her theme is Pick a Word In May – Y2.

patulous – Adjective

literary – (especially of the branches of a tree) spreading.
‘I found him on a remote bench beneath a patulous tree’
technical Open; expanded.

These two photos are of an old black walnut tree.  The canopy must be over 60′ feet wide.  It is just wonderful to sit under it.
